Heroes: The Complete First Season

The Heroes Season One DVD is a 7-disc DVD recompilation of the first season of Heroes. The cost for the standard DVD will be $59.99 while the cost for the HD-DVD will be $99.98. This box set will include all 23 episodes from the first season of Heroes and many special features.

Scheduled release dates:

  • United States: August 28, 2007
  • Australia: September 5, 2007
  • Netherlands: September 13, 2007
  • United Kingdom: December 20, 2007

Special Features

Special Features will include:

  • Cast and crew commentaries
  • Video commentary--picture-in-picture on 12 episodes with series creator Tim Kring and producer Dennis Hammer
  • Unaired Pilot: The "Tim Kring Cut"-–a full 73 uninterrupted minutes of the original, unaired, extended pilot episode, as Heroes creator Tim Kring first envisioned it, with a character never seen; audio commentary will also be included
  • The Making of Heroes-–from concept to pop culture phenomenon, a behind-the-scenes look at the series
  • Special Effects--the secrets behind the eye-popping visuals that give the "Heroes" their amazing powers
  • The Stunts–-a back stage look at the show's hair-raising stunts.
  • Mind Reader–-Matt Parkman's mind-reading abilities reveal your "inner Hero" with a series of simple tests
  • Profile of Artist Tim Sale--a look at the Eisner Award-winning comic book artist (Spider-Man, Batman, Daredevil) behind much of the Manga-influenced artwork used in the show
  • The Score--go behind the scenes with Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman (of Prince's The Revolution) as they create their ASCAP Award-winning musical score
  • 50 Deleted and Extended Scenes
  • Interactive character profiles
  • Symbol Sightings--the ability to "discover the hidden helix symbol revealed throughout the series"
  • Web enabling--the discs will also be web enabled, allowing for future downloadable content

Notes

  • Preorders for the DVD will close July 24, 2007.
