Source/Explanation
In Faction Zero, the Bowmans are called "fire breathers" a number of times.

is it constant?

like, every time they breath out, they breath out fire? I wouldn't imagine it, but if not I wouldn't see why they couldn't live normally. --mc_hammark 14:15, 29 September 2009 (EDT)

Fire exudation

  • This naming conventions gets confusing from time to time. The name Fire breathing sounds more related to Underwater breathing. So far, they have only been described to mostly, "Breath out fire" not "breathing it in". So, if they only breath out fire, the name should be related to Chlorine gas exudation, which is another ability that only breathes out something, but not realy breath it in. Anyone get what I am saying? --NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 15:08, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
    • Yeah, I get what you're saying, it's just out they breath fire (ie the exudate it not inhale it, like underwater breathing does). --mc_hammark 15:10, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
      • I took the courtesy to move the page.--NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 15:17, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
        • My single concern with this: was this ability named by someone in Heroes: Survival? Was it ever explicitly named by NBC or some other credible source? If any of those called this "fire breathing", then that's how it should stay. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:00, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
          • While I agree with what you said and the change, multiple people have called Chris, Gail, and Jennie fire breathers. So I guess that is the canon name for it, and it needs to be changed back.--Ratclaws 18:03, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
            • The page should be called "fire breathing" since that's the name we've been given. Even if this were named at Heroes Survival, the iStory has a higher canonicity than H:S. I'll move it back. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:18, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
            • But NivekJ13 isn't that ignoring real life examples, it really is extremely hard to confuse the two. Fire breathing Dragons for example and Underwater Breathing apparatuses. It just seems to me that fire breathing, in order for me to consider "Breathing it in" I have to think about it with some concentration, otherwise I just visualize exhaling fire. Same with underwater breathing. You can exhale underwater, but you can exhale fire, grammatically speaking of course. I'm not sure water breathing (exhaling) makes too much sense either in this case. But every time I hear fire breathing, I'm thinking of the exhalation not the inhalation.--Dman dustin 18:54, 29 September 2009 (EDT)
