Heroes Countdown to Premiere Contest
http://www.myspace.com/the-channel It asks everyone why they're the biggest Heroes fan in 30 seconds or less and says you have a chance to be on TV. Your thoughts? I'm gonna compile my videos since they're all short and submit that.--Riddler 15:18, 5 September 2008 (EDT)
- I guess Main Page is the wrong place to discuss this? I put it here 'cause I figured it'd go under news, if anything.--Riddler 14:42, 6 September 2008 (EDT)
- Oh, I didn't think there was anything to discuss. I thought you were just letting us know. What did you want to discuss? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:47, 6 September 2008 (EDT)
- ...Didn't think that far into it. Anyone submitting anything, maybe? Or does it belong in the news section? >_>;--Riddler 14:51, 6 September 2008 (EDT)

Preparing for S.3
Given that we are entering the last week before the season premiere, what about replacing the "latest webisode" blurb with the "latest episode" one (i.e. Powerless)? The "Going Postal" webisodes are (sorta) a closed book, and with NBC's heavy promotion of the third season, it's likely that new people will stumble upon Heroes Wiki, presumably looking for info on where the series left off: Powerless. Pierre 07:27, 15 September 2008 (EDT)
- Agree. By the way, Timm Keppler and Jim Martin are busy writing the next set of webisodes now, I believe. As far as I can gather, they won't have anything to do with Going Postal. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:49, 15 September 2008 (EDT)
- Since we're gonna have the Eps, GNs, and Webisodes this season, how are we going to arrange them on the Main page? Personaly, I'd go for all three in the left hand column below the welcome message. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 10:26, 15 September 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, and if you're looking for order, I would suggest eps first, then webisodes, then GNs. If that takes up too much room, the DYK section can be trimmed or hidden--it's really just filler anyway. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:45, 15 September 2008 (EDT)

We need to...
I think we need to archive everyone's character history into Season One and Season Two, like we've done with all the main characters. Thoughts?--Citizen 09:00, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
- If they are in multiple seasons and have a long page. -Lөvөl 13:29, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, I don't see any reason to archive Meredith's history or Nidia's history, for example. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:35, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
- We should archive only for characters who have been in more than one season. It makes the wiki look better and more organized.--Citizen 16:26, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
- Ditto. Also, I think we should write the summary for seasons chronologically. For example, in the Haitian's article, the summary for the It Takes a Village arc was put behind the summary for the episodes in the Season 1 summary. It'd be less confusing for others if we put it in front of the season 1 episodic history. Chrisyu357 03:21, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
- I definitely don't think we should archive all characters who are in multiple seasons. For instance, Kin Egami appeared in two seasons, but it would be ridiculous to archive what amounts to about ten lines of history. I do think we should simply take characters who have appeared (or been mentioned) a lot and look at them on a case-by-case situation. If their pages are long and they look like they'll be back for another round of episodes in an upcoming season, then we'll archive their page. If they're at the end of their run (hello, Isaac!) then their pages can remain a little long. Hence, characters like Monica Dawson and Elle Bishop really don't need to be archived. In fact, I think their pages should be restored and the archives deleted. All it amounts to is an extra click for people who want to read about that character. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 04:11, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
- We all know Heroes has graphic novels, and writing character histories in chronological order would make this a richer wiki. We're wasting that opportunity by not even referencing the GN events in some of the character season histories. Also, we don't have to archive EVERYONE'S histories, only the main character's histories. Kin's Season One and Season Two histories would just go on the article.--Citizen 23:31, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
- I don't think we're talking about the same thing. I was talking about taking the character histories and putting them (or not putting them) on a separate page at the end of the season. I think you're talking about including graphic novels in those summaries, and about making the summaries chronological. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:35, 28 September 2008 (EDT)

- I edited Kin's page to look like this (I reverted it immediately). Does that look sloppy or ridiculous to you? We can make it so that only the characters that have been in Portal:Main Characters and/or have been in more than one season have archived histories. Also, making the summaries chronological wouldn't be a bad idea. Imagine how awesome Adam's page would look like :).--Citizen 23:41, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
