Piper and Debbie
Debbie was taken at birth, so that's not a mission. Piper, however, had been recently bagged and tagged and that's why she was having the alien dreams. The next mission, which was accomplished, was the Haitian and Noah previously pretending to be doctors to erase Piper's memory once before. And there's also a pending mission, where the Haitian and Noah pretend again to be doctors to remove Piper's memory.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:33, 11 June 2008 (EDT)
- Also, "Monitor Dr. Henry Strauss..." should probably be "Surveillance Dr. Henry Strauss". We should also have "Surveillance Claire Bennet", which was Elle Bishop's solo mission. We now also need to add "Bag and tag Julien Dumont", which Ivan Spektor accomplished (with Maarten?).--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:02, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
- I'll have to reread D&S later and see. The rest of the missions you mentioned I've added and renamed to what I think sounds best--SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:34, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
Need feedback!
The plan for this page is to have it in the mainspace. I need some feedback for what I have so far, especially on the issue of perspective, especially with regard to success or failure. Should this page use the perspective of a fly on the wall of each of these missions/places where they are referenced (as we are), or should it use the perspective of what the Company Knows. Right now it uses something in the middle, and I'm not sure which way to go. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:41, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
- Ok, take a look at the new List of Company partnerships page. It should probably look something like that. This style is more Lostpedia-like, which is fine for a subpage but not the mainspace. Also, I can probably do a dynamic TOC for this like I just did for the partnerships page if you're interested (you removed the manual TOC I had made for you for the time being...). As for your last question, I think it should be fly-on-the-wall type, but much briefer. For instance, bag and tag Rollo Fusor; great, good description for the task...but the result can be much simpler: target was found dead. If you want the specifics, let people read the related episodes or graphic novel summaries. A lot needs to be trimmed.--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:01, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
- Ditto what MV said. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:07, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
- I really love the style of this to be honest, but I must admit it does not really adhere to the usual style of Heroeswiki articles, so maybe it should be cleaned up a bit like Miami said. I like the informative sections on each too, but if they are trimmed then links to where they are mentioned/seen as you have done is fine. Good work on the page! -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 13:24, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks, folks, for the feedback! This calls for a new approach to the project that I'll need help with! --SacValleyDweller (talk) 22:49, 14 June 2008 (EDT)

Another issue that I just thought of for this is how to organize these missions. Should they be arranged as they are now: On screen/Off Screen (note, the helter skelter dating was just there to help me manage the data in the editing box)? Should they be arranged by date (in universe) or in the order aired? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 23:45, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
- Chronological works. So does alphabetical, but chronological makes the most sense. They could be organized by order aired, which would especially help with unknown dates of missions in the past, but I think you're fine going with order of when the missions started. I would definitely not say anything about the mission being on screen or off screen since that breaks perspective. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:51, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, I agree that chronological makes the most sense. I had thought SVD was just splitting them on and off-screen temporarily so that he could organize them easier. Ryan's right that it's not needed. If it helps, I think we could possibly consider removing the bag and tag missions from this article, since we already have bag and tag as an article and someone else has a subpage they are working on to revise it (see here). My comments on updating the formatting apply to that page as well. We could then turn Company missions into a portal that links to List of Company bag and tag missions, and another page List of other Company missions. If there's enough surveillance missions, we can split them off from the "other" page. That way would be less work updating.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:29, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
New approach, Need help!
Ok, based on the feedback I got, I meed to approach this project from a new angle. I'm also going to need some help along the way. Here's my approach, with where I need help in bold:
1) More discussion above
2) Modify existing material according to feedback above:
- Trim "Details" to reflect Miami's feedback.
3) New template/formating something or other made that fits our visual style uses the color scheme that I envision (red = failed, Green = success, Grey and/or blue = half success, this for a Pending or ongoing) (I'm all ears for a better one though :) )
4) After the new template/formating is done, Fill the rest of the missions in.
5) Last minute adjustments/tweaks
6) Move it to the mainspace and and tie it into the Wiki
This look good? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 23:26, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
