Welcome to Heroes Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
  • If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
  • Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.

Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!

Hey

I saw your post about being a administrator, well basicly you can't ask to be one, if you put in a lot of work you might be made into one. And you should be able to eddit just about every page anyway. hope this helps.--Skywalkerrbf 09:35, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

UK Flag

Hey, welcome to the wiki! You can add the UK flag to your userpage by adding:
{{User:Friskymuffin/UK Template}}
to the bottom of your userpage. I hope that helps :) I didn't know that about Michael Faraday, but yeah Dan Faraday is just awesome! If you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask :) -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 14:06, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

Updates

Thanks for the updates! The ones I've seen look great...Yeah, I know that because we're a site that archives the world of Heroes, there's sometimes a lack of humor on the regular pages. We do try to make them as professional as possible in most cases. Adding humor is best done on the talk pages, though, so I moved some of your humorous comments (and they were funny!) to the talk pages. Keep up the good work! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:56, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

  • You're no bother at all! To create a user subpage, you can type the name of the page you want into the search box. Be sure to put "User:SAMANTHA486e61/" in front of the page you are creating. (That's the user namespace--anytime you see the title of a page start with "User:", you know it's in the user namespace.) After you type the name of the page you want, hit "Go". Then on the search page, you will see a red link at the top. Click it and begin your page! Or, you can just click this red link: User:SAMANTHA486e61/My page, and begin editing.

I moved the comments you made from the image page to the image talk page. If you click the "Discussion" link at the top of any page, you'll see the talk page for that page. So for instance, your comments on Image:BabyNathan.jpg were moved to Image talk:BabyNathan.jpg. That's the appropriate place for comments like that. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:35, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
