Theory talk:Angela Petrelli
Just an Interpretation...
What if "getting from point A to B" is less in a physical sense and more in a political or goal-oriented sense... She seems to be able to impose her own will quite often... Just a fleeting thought... Random guy 14:13, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- I was wondering if its in reflextion to a thought process, such as being able to work out the outcome of every action that is taken. This could explain the speech Liderman has, where he put together the lives of Niki and D.L to produce the outcome of their son. Perhaps She has the ability to see the result of every action. She forsaw the outcome with talks with charles on the exploding bomb. She decided to turn herself into the police as she concluded it would provide a better outcome for her? just a guess on what her power may be. Helios Castella 17:11, 03 November 2007 (GMT)
- Is there any worth to the idea that she may be able to super-impose images into other people's minds? The worth of the bomb into Nathan's mind in season 1, pumping Peter's head full of her own memories of him in season 2? And perhaps this 'enhanced perspective' also allows her to see into the future, present and into the past?--Aldrius 20:29, 6 November 2007 (EST)
Angela confirmed to have a power?
I don't know, I think it has been confirmed that Angela is an Evolved Human, both in primary and secondary sources. Why then, have we not archived this particular theory? Random guy 17:11, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
- Cause it's a spoiler and it's not been shown in the show? Plus, it hasn't been confirmed what her power is. The only source has been a vaguely-worded spoiler from TV Guide.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:15, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
- Disagree, she clearly tells Matt Parkman that "they will find out about us." Yes her power hasn't been confirmed, but the fact that she is an evolved human, most definitely is confirmed. right? And Christine Rose, in and interview, as well as other interviews have confirmed that her power will be displayed. Random guy 17:25, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
- Ah, I've seen some of Rose's interviews, but I didn't catch that. As for what Angela tells Matt Parkman, that only confirms Angela knows about Matt's power, and that doesn't necessarily confirm her own. I do think Angela has at least one power, but I don't think it's been confirmed in the show just yet.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:12, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
- Shouldn't this line confirm that she has a power "I like to think we all met up at Woodstock in the '60s and it was there that we found out about our powers." Notice she says "our" and not their powers. Random guy 23:27, 13 November 2007 (EST)
- Outside sources shed light and help clarify things, but they do not confirm major plot points which have not yet been revealed (like the possession of a power). On the show, Angela has danced around the issue quite a bit, but never revealed it. Sure, the "they'll find out about us" and "so you're like me?" lines point strong fingers, but never confirm anything. To be honest, even if Angela outright says, "Yes, I have a power," I'm still not sure that would definitely confirm it to me since she has a pretty long history of lying and manipulating. But that's not the case--the fact is, she is a human until proven evolved. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:35, 13 November 2007 (EST)

Name for her power
I think we should call it Suggestion and not Persuasion (like Eden) in the theory--Anthony Gooch 16:49, 13 November 2007 (EST)
- I agree with this, as it seems like Eden's power was more like a command given, where as Angela Petrelli's is more like a hypnotic suggestion. Furthermore it is distinguished because it either requires or is augmented by physical contact between the two subjects.
- Additional speculation that I'd like to add is how on several occasions Angela told Nathan to go sober up. It could be that her ability of hypnotic suggestions does not work when the subject is intoxicated. All Purely speculative of course. Svladcjelli 00:08, 14 November 2007 (EST)
- Just a reminder that Angela is not a confirmed evolved human, and she has not demonstrated any clear power. Any names we assign to a theoretical power she might have would be purely speculative. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:11, 14 November 2007 (EST)
Um.....empath
Arent being an empathy and have empathic mimicry the same thing?....if it is why is it in 2 different theories...if it's not, then why not?--Anthony Gooch 07:29, 13 December 2007 (EST)
