Graphic Novel talk:From the Files of Primatech, Part 6
They're REALLY not doing all that they could be doing with this "Files of Primatech" arc. I mean, what HAVE we learned about the Company that we didn't already know?--Gibbeynator 19:24, 26 April 2010 (EDT)
I don't think they're in any state at the moment to make big plot decisions, with the fate of the show hanging by a thread and whatnot. This is more or less filler that's been tied in with some interesting e-mails from Hiro. Just enough to keep the fans nearby, y'know?--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 19:27, 26 April 2010 (EDT)
I just wished they showed all the founders, not just the ones we're already tired of seeing, and their abilities. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 20:27, 26 April 2010 (EDT)
I guess this is the writers way of retconning the group of 12 into NOT being founders, just some kind of inner circle deal.--Gibbeynator 06:55, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
I personally felt like it gave more insight on three things. One, how did they start tracking evolve humans; two, when and why Claude started to distrust The Company; and three, how dishonest Thompson really is. I know, not the biggest reveal of The Company's secrets and history, but anything with Claude is great. Plus we did get to see a kick ass new ability out of this. --OutbackZack 18:01, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
Attack of the 50 Foot Woman
Not a chance Sylvia's ability is a reference, is there? AltesUTCCH 10:10, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
Here's a pic of the movie flyer with the original giant woman towering over buildings, and holding a car in her left hand. Looks pretty referencial to me. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 04/27/2010 13:36 (EST)
Super speed?
It looks like Sylvia can use her ability to achieve super speed.--Gibbeynator 13:00, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
It looked like she was just in good shape to me.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 15:57, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
Actually if you look at the art more closely it looks like to she grew in size as she ran. She can change sizes pretty face as noted in the first part. So I'm sure there was enough force from her growing in size to knock them over as she ran. --OutbackZack 18:04, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
I dunno, that blur certainly looks like she can increase her speed.--Gibbeynator 22:27, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
The artwork is a little too ambigious to use as solid evidence.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 22:46, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
How about the accompanying sound effect? Sounding it out sounds like "swish".--Gibbeynator 13:36, 28 April 2010 (EDT)
You can tell it was meant to show she grew in size. The blurs aren't speed blurs, if you look closely each little blur line is the same, but just grow bigger in size. --OutbackZack 14:19, 28 April 2010 (EDT)
It's also the exact same "sound effect" that's used on the next page to show that she's grown. Not really an indicator of speed the second time, so why would it be an indicator of speed the first time? --Maelwys 16:39, 28 April 2010 (EDT)
Charles
Are we sure that the man with Bob and Angela is actually Charles, it doesn't really look like him. --Jenx222 | U / T / C | <inlcudeonly>08:00, 7 January 2012 (EST) 17:20, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
How're we even sure that the man with Angela was Bob, looked nothing like him to me. daevon 20:58, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
The moustached man must be Carlos Mendez. The guy in white could be just a doctor. AltesUTCCH 03:18, 8 May 2010 (EDT)
And Claude's face - he has a plaster on his nose and stitches on his cheek, but when he's being injected, they are gone. AltesUTCCH 03:22, 8 May 2010 (EDT)
D.F.Y.Z.
About those letters on that box, or rather their Russian analogues. I have no idea what that could possibly mean, but there are no words in Russian which begin with an Ы. I wonder if it was made on purpose, or if it's a mistake made by the writers. AltesUTCCH 03:15, 8 May 2010 (EDT)
Yes. I would rather something on Part 1 that says something to the effect of "Beginning with this issue, graphic novels have been released with no Easter Eggs." -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:17, 8 May 2010 (EDT)
When we finally have an Easter Egg, we can change the Part 1 note to "From this issue until xxxxxxxxxxx, graphic novels were released with no Easter Eggs." And on the novel with an Easter Egg, we put, "This issue was the first graphic novel since From the Files of Primatech, Part 1 to have an Easter Egg."
