Heavy regeneration
Imagine seeing that kind of heavy regeneration of Claire in full view on tv. Would make a grizzly scene... Martijnvs 09:40, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
- That's be kinda weird if it made a grizzly scene cause she would have to turn into a bear. I agree it would make a grisly scene though. --Rayhond 18:04, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
The German
Was that guy ment to be the German or someone new?--Skywalkerrbf 11:12, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
- I think it was meant to be someone new, since the German has already died in the "present", and so far, we don't know of anybody alive in the Villains Future who's dead in the present. Presumably, killing someone "now" would alter that future. --Psiphiorg 13:18, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
Tracker codes
On page four, the first panel has an upside-down file that has SCwem43ib and I have no idea who's tracker this might be. On page six, the first panel again has SCwem43ib, this time in a newspaper clipping. Therequiembellishere 15:07, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
It could be Stephen Canfield's code because he is the only EH that have the same initinals as the code that I know of.SPARTAN-077 16:49, 7 October 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, though he hasn't been mentioned in the yet except in spoilers, so it's odd that his profile password is appearing so soon. I'm not sure if that means this novel was originally planned to be released later rather than today, but that's possible.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:00, 8 October 2008 (EDT)
Pinehearst attack
Definitely an interesting novel, but I'm not sure I'm grasping it. It's definitely possible that this future Peter has the Haitian's ability, but we don't know for sure. Also, I'm not sure I buy into him saying he's the person who blew up Pinehearst. When he's capable of a surgical strike, why use a pipe bomb... I think there's something Peter didn't tell Claire, perhaps that he was infiltrating the cell in order to eliminate it, but I'm not sure why he would want Claire to believe that he purposely blew it up.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:10, 8 October 2008 (EDT)
Nice one!!
A great novel in my opinion. Short, but well written (even though it would have had the potential to be an even better two-parter). I'm absolutely thrilled to see Micah Gunnel's art again - IMO there is no other GN artist even close to him. Truly a fantastic comics artist!!!
And I'm actually enjoying Claire when she doesn't have her annoying "teenage problems" to deal with. Hopefully present day Claire will run into Daphne as well - I think it would do her good. Pierre 18:01, 8 October 2008 (EDT)
Timeline
On the last page, the strings hanging around the room depict two timelines coming together. I can identify the right one as Tracy Strauss, but who's the one on the left? I thought he was Mohinder, but as it is in the exposed future, the picture would have him in his red hoodie. He's darker than the man in the picture anyway. I thought it could be Traveler too, but he's only been seen in the graphic novels. Does anyone know who the timeline on the left belongs to? Vitrier 19:10, 9 October 2008 (AEST)
- I'm mostly sure that it is Mohinder.Besides,Peter could had used a picture of him before he bugged out. Also, you can see Usutu's picture in the background above Tracy's though it dosn't show his face, but you can tell it is Usutu.SPARTAN-077 08:54, 9 October 2008 (EDT)
- I assumed it was Mohinder. Also - given his appearant... shyness, after his transformation, I doubt that the changed Mohinder would allow anyone to take a photo of him. Pierre 10:34, 9 October 2008 (EDT)
- Also looks like Parkman to the back of the timelines.
How canon are the GNs?
After all, it appears this Future Peter has absorbed the Haitian's ability. --Matchu 14:49, 9 October 2008 (EDT)
- Peter was in the Haitian's presence when the Haitian was unconscious; that's how he could absorb the Haitian's ability. However, I think Peter may have been lying to Claire about erasing her mind previously...he seems to want Claire to go after him, but I don't understand why yet. Regardless of that, the GN's are near-canon. They are supposed to supplement the content of the show, but not rewrite it. But the writers are human and can make mistakes, so you're always open to your own interpretation. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:58, 9 October 2008 (EDT)
- If you're referring to the Haitian being knocked out in the alley (in IABD), then don't forget that this novel comes before that in the timeline --Matchu 00:46, 10 October 2008 (EDT)
- Perhaps... though the novel doesn't clearly state which Peter it is: present day Peter aged three years or the Peter from the original future. Assuming the latter (which we appear to be doing in our documentation), then you're right and future Peter probably got mind erasing from another evolved human or from a different encounter with the Haitian. Assuming the former, it is possible that present day Peter will make most of the same decisions as his previous self (including getting the scar) despite gaining Sylar's ability.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:16, 10 October 2008 (EDT)
- It's speculation to say that Future Peter has the Haitian's power based on him claiming to have erased memories, sicne he already has another power that can do that. --Stevehim 05:50, 18 December 2008 (EST)
- If you're referring to the Haitian being knocked out in the alley (in IABD), then don't forget that this novel comes before that in the timeline --Matchu 00:46, 10 October 2008 (EDT)
Two unnamed terrorists
Are they getting their own pages? DECBOY23 12:41, 10 October 2008 (EDT)
- I sure hope not. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:17, 10 October 2008 (EDT)
- Why not? DECBOY23 16:54, 11 October 2008 (EDT)
