Heroes Wiki has got a interview with Jimmy Jean-Louis, who played the Haitian On season's 1,2 and 3. Please submit your questions. This interview is being done by skywalkerrbf. This interview is being done over the phone.
- Well done on the interview, rbf.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:48, 18 September 2008 (EDT)
- How will the Haitian's power advance in future episodes, if at all?
When you first got the part did you know that for most of the time you wouldn't be talking?- The above striked-out question is answered in the OWI's interview with him. He knew and was teased about it by other members of the cast.
- Do you keep up to date with all of your graphic novel appearances?
- How is your power filmed?
- Do you have any idea of who you really work for? You seem to work for Mr. Bennet, Bob and Angela Petrelli?
- We already know that next season you are having some scenes with Masi Oka, can you tell us a bit about these scenes and what else you will be up to next season?
- The Haitian, of course, has the power to wipe memories and block powers, if you could have a power, then what would it be?
- In a previous interview with the OWI, you mentioned you learned about being an artist in Paris. Did the nightclubs of Paris provide your first experience singing in public, or just dancing? You mentioned that after Paris, you did musical theatre in Spain for 3 years (on your website, it says only 2 years for musical theatre).
- Are you still playing soccer with the Hollywood United Football Club? Is the soccer season concurrent with your filming on Heroes?
- Your website lists martial arts as one of your skills. Where did you pick that one up and do you have a specialty style? Do you know Kalenda and might we see you use it on Heroes?
- You are awesome. Do you know how awesome you are?
- Do you know why Future Haitian doesn't talk in the future?
- Better phrasing: Do you know why in the Five Years Gone future, that version of your character didn't talk?
Do you at least know what the Haitian's true name is?- The above striked-out question is answered in the OWI's interview with him. He knows he has a name, but isn't allowed to say.
- Who was your favorite co-star to work with on the set?
You did a lot of scenes with Jack Coleman; what did you think of him?- The above striked-out question is answered in the OWI's interview with him.
Are you aware of your character's history and backstory in the web comics It Takes a Village and The Crossroads?- This question is answered in the OWI's interview with him.
Who Is your faveroite character in heroes? Do you like your characters power?
- Will we find out this season what Angela Petrelli did for the Haitian? And it is something the writers have told you, what Angela did for your character, or are you pretty much in the dark until you get the script for such an episode?
- In the 1st season episode (Hiros) when you and HRG apprehended Nathan in Las Vegas, why didn't you use your power-blocking ability to prevent Nathan from flying away?
- Your character has become more of a cult character compared the others, perhaps more so then even some of the main ones (i.e. Peter, Matt, Nathan, Claire, etc). How do you think this came around and what feelings do you have towards it?
- Could you please give us a guide as to the process of filming a Heroes episode? How close to filming do you get the script, do you shoot scenes out-of-sequence, is it filmed an episode a time or lots at once, etc (things like that)?
- As an actor how did you approach playing a character who doesn't speak? Did it allow you to focus more on facial expression and body acting; secondly, as an actor, how did this feel? Was it something you enjoyed, or were you thinking, "Let me speak!" (obviously, this may need to be reworded a bit.)
- If you could tease volume three in one word, what would it be?
- How did the casting process work for you? Did you audition?
- What exactly is your power.
