Interesting Power

You could potentially live forever.--IotV 08:00, 24 February 2009 (EST)

  • Not necessarily, the ability could work only making him appear to have an age, instead of actually changing his age, kinda like a limited shapeshifting. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:16, 24 February 2009 (EST)
    • If it was illusion, then I would agree, but it's different. He's actually remolding his body. And, you wouldn't die from age - related causes as, surely, a young boy is extremely unlikely to get, I don't know, *insert ages - related disease*.--IotV 11:29, 24 February 2009 (EST)

Speaking as an old guy, I'd love to have this power!--Cro Magnon 11:41, 24 February 2009 (EST)

  • We don't know if he is actually more frail when he appears as an old man, or if he retains his youthful strength at all ages. (I'm assuming his actual age is closer to the "father" one than the "grandfather" one, but of course we don't really know that for sure.) But if he gets something age-related, such as alzheimer's disease, I wonder if he would retain that disease after shifting to another age. My guess would be yes, since he kept the scar. --Psiphiorg 19:47, 24 February 2009 (EST)

This ability makes my head spin. It make about as much sense, as far as evolution/utility is concerned as Imprinting and a few of the other ones around here. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:29, 25 February 2009 (EST)

  • Yeah, as the show progresses it's becoming less and less comprehensible. Originally all abilities were part of a genetic mutation but it's becoming more and more like superpowers with each episode. I'm not complaining, I'd just prefer if it made sense. Back on topic however, he would live forever, as long as he wasn't killed, since he is reverting himself to a younger state.--Steelymcbeam 02:52, 25 February 2009 (EST)
    • I loved this ability. This would make a great Benjamin Button-esque character!--Referos 15:45, 25 February 2009 (EST)

One word

  • Shouldn't it be jsut one word, Ageshifting, like Shapeshifting.--NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 18:15, 24 February 2009 (EST)
I'd say not, because it's two words in the comic book itself. --Psiphiorg 19:43, 24 February 2009 (EST)

How far can he revert?

Would he be able to age-shift back to when he was sperm? Now that would be interesting!--Steelymcbeam 02:53, 25 February 2009 (EST)

  • lol that would be interesting! --JLYK 06:46, 25 February 2009 (EST)
    • Any ideas what would happen if this was supercharged? Possible extension for other people? Just throwing some ideas to feed the discussion. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:58, 25 February 2009 (EST)
      • More likely, cloning would be the result of supercharging his ability. He could grow a copy of himself out of some of his cells. Do you think Paulette Hawkins might be turning up in the next novel?--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:51, 25 February 2009 (EST)
        • Why would Paulette turn up? Unless they want to make an entire in the past story, I don't see Paulette anytime soon. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:59, 25 February 2009 (EST)
          • Well, Comrades, Part 1, is set in the past where Claude and Noah are still partners, so I was thinking that was a possibility.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:14, 25 February 2009 (EST)
            • Would be great but what reason would she have to supercharge his ability? Would be good to see I have to admit. --posted by Laughingdevilboy

              • She'd do it if the Company told her to do it. They may have wanted an army of new agents even back then.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:29, 25 February 2009 (EST)
                • Didn't they have Julien back then? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:40, 25 February 2009 (EST)
                  • Not sure: Noah's and Claude's partnership was from 1991-1999; and based on my calculations, they started using Julien to clone agents in 1992.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:53, 25 February 2009 (EST)

Steelymcbeam- He couldn't do that, because he never was a sperm cell. Nor was he ever an egg cell. He was, however, the combination of the two (Forget what it's called...). Back on topic, I'm sure he could do something like that... If he could destroy matter.

At the other end of the spectrum, anybody here think he could age into dust, and then turn back?--ERROR 19:45, 20 June 2009 (EDT)

  • You mean a zygote. I think that the limits he can shift to are defined by the state his brain is: he can't change too young up to a moment his brain can't control his ability due to not being "developed" enough, nor can he age enough so his body can't keep his brain alive. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 19:54, 20 June 2009 (EDT)

Fortune teller

A carny called "Fortune teller" appeared as old and young, should we add her? It's not confirmed I guess, but a picture is worth a thousand words right?--Sekobro (talk) 13:37, 14 November 2015 (EST)

  • Very probable. But it also could be illusion, shape shifting, or another ability. Not enough info to tell... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:54, 14 November 2015 (EST)
    • But since we use shape-shifting for "Fake Mohinder", with same logic we should list her as well. She changes her age, could be something else but that's all we know, so we should do our best with little info we have. --Sekobro (talk) 03:01, 15 November 2015 (EST)
      • I'm not sure how this is related to Mohinder's impersonator -- the info there specifically stated that it was a shape shifter. Nobody said what power the fortune teller has, or that she has one at all. There are many powers that can perform that same result, including age shifting or appearance alteration. But I can ask Jim Martin after the series is finished next month... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:01, 15 November 2015 (EST)
