The 3 new Swat Team evolved Humans

OK Guys, if there is a discussion and resolution about naming them, and identifying their powers I haven't seen it yet. We can start here if not. I'll start 3 paragraphs for each for us to discuss individually. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 05/2/2007 11:20 (EST)

Swat Team Commander-aka Flight/Levitation Electric/lightning man

Perhaps this guy is the equivilent of Storm, and can control weather, this flying and controlling electricity. It would explain both 'powers' being shown, and is consistent with Storm being able to fly and call lightning. Thoughts? Suggested Temporary Name? Name for Power? Concensus on power being displayed? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 05/2/2007 11:20 (EST)

  • I suggest we wait until next week to see if anything is confirmed. We certainly shouldn't be adding links to those powers quite yet. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:24, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Swat Team Member-aka Wall Crawler/Super Speedy

Based on the visual trail, and based on how other super-speed people are drawn in this manner in other comics, I would say enhanced speed. DC's Flash can run on walls, and leaves behind a blurred speed-trail. This character looks much more like Flash than a typical wall-crawler like Spidey. Are we sure this person is female? Thoughts? Suggested Temporary Name? Name for Power? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 05/2/2007 11:20 (EST)

  • She has breasts. I suggest we wait until next week to see if anything is confirmed on the power. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:24, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Swat Team Member-aka SumoMan

Could just be a regular hugely big and strong guy, but to lift F.H. off the ground by the neck to that level of height, I am pretty convinced this is a display of Enhanced strength. Thoughts? Suggested Temporary Name? Name for Power? --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 05/2/2007 11:20 (EST)

  • I suggest we wait until next week to see if anything is confirmed. I'm not even sure he has a power. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:24, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Formatting Follow-ups

Sorry for all of the formatting follow-up work you had to do Ryan. I feel pretty comfortable updating existing pages and sections within pages, but am still not very adept at created brand new pages. Thanks for tidying things up...not like you don't do enough in the first place. Eventually I'll get the swing of it. The new templates for page creation do help alot...but as you can see from my mangling, they aren't idiot proof. Also good idea on just showing all three newbie people together, instead of individually...since there really isn't much yet to go on with them....the Commander pic was just way to narrow....good alternative. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 05/2/2007 13:43 (EST)

  • I agree re: naming them, adding articles, guessing powers, and redlinking powers ... we may as well wait until part 2, when we might actually have some idea what we're talking about, instead of just wildly guessing.--Hardvice (talk) 16:46, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Moab

What does MOAB stands for ? -- FrenchFlo (talk)        04:42, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Air Force lingo is "Mother of all bombs"--Bob 04:47, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
    • Euh... I don't understand your Air force thing I' sorry :( And it does really stands for Mother of all bomb ? Seems weird for a federal place -- FrenchFlo (talk)        04:49, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Well, there's a large munition deployed by the Air Force called the MOAB. As for this particular penitentiary, who knows.--Bob 05:24, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Moab is the name of a city in Utah. I thought about making an article for Moab, UT, but decided that Utah is probably sufficient. Beautiful little town, by the way--I used to visit there all the time when I lived in Utah. Lots of red rock. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:17, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

D.L.

I'm a little lost because Amazon got my DVD order mixed up (yes, I'm spitting daggers right now)...Is there a deleted scene from Genesis which shows D.L. at the Moab Federal Penitentiary? Are we sure it wasn't the Nevada State Penitentiary where he was shown to be in Snapshots? Or even the Clark County Prison, as seen in Linderman's archives? Again, I don't have the DVD (grumble), so I can't say one way or another. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:40, 28 August 2007 (EDT)

Well, to add some assistance in this matter, I have the DVDs, and I'm watching the first deleted scene ("DL Escapes from his Cell"), and the first shot of the scene is D.L., sprawled on the floor, symbol cut into his arm, and the subtitle "'Moab Federal Prison, Utah". I'd gladly screencap, but I don't have anything to do so with. So, take that as you will. --Aero Zeppelin 20:14, 28 August 2007 (EDT)

  • That's good enough for me. What bothers me is that now that's the third prison listed for D.L. Hey, it could be that he spent time in all three places, but that's doubtful. But since we have no way of telling, we list all three. We do need to start a discussion about where to place deleted scenes in the canon hierarchy...Thanks for the info! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:24, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
    • It looks like they are deleted from the Tim Kring Cut, as it has Micah getting off the bus after running away, which he didn't do in Genesis. -Lөvөl 16:00, 30 August 2007 (EDT)
