About
Homecoming
In Utah, D.L. and Micah stop at a café. As D.L. leaves the car, police pull up to the café. D.L. hides from the officer, pretending to buy a newspaper. When D.L. returns to the car, Micah is missing. D.L. finds his son at a Greyhound Bus stop. Micah tells his father about how Jessica is Niki's alter ego, and D.L. agrees to go back to Las Vegas to help Niki. Micah reveals that they don't need to leave Utah because he called Jessica and told her where they are. Across the street, Jessica aims her rifle at D.L. and fires.
Graphic Novel:Life Before Eden
Sarah Ellis grows up in her home in Utah with her stepmother. Sarah unwittingly commands her stepmother to die, changes her name to Eden, and leaves the burning house to head west.
Fallout
Jessica shoots D.L. in the shoulder, but D.L. phases through the next bullet. D.L. grabs Micah and the money, and they run off into the woods. D.L. leaves his bloodied jacket on a branch, and tells Micah to backtrack through his steps "like the Indians" to throw off pursuers.
Micah doubts that the shots came from the police. They find a locked cabin, and D.L. phases his arm inside to open the lock. D.L. blacks out from his wound, and Micah cries out for help. Jessica arrives at the cabin, pretending to be Niki. They struggle, and when Micah tries to intervene, Jessica tosses him aside roughly. Seeing Micah hurt, Niki retakes control of Jessica. Niki then leaves the money and slips off; she turns herself in to a Utah police officer for murder.
Graphic Novel:Walls, Part 1

Truth & Consequences
After Noah's memorial service, Sandra tells her family that they are moving to Salt Lake.
Notes
- In reality, there is no Interstate 14 in Utah. However, Highway 12 is a very real road, though it's formally known as Utah State Route 12. Highway 12 begins in Panguitch, UT (off US 89), and ends in Torrey, UT.
Trivia
- With more than one million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Utah has the highest population of Mormons in the world; more than 70% of the state's population is Mormon. [1]
- Utah is named for the Native American tribe, the "Utes". D.L. makes reference to Indians when he tries to hide his tracks.
