Category

This is a cool page. I wonder if it's too similar to Rift to be in Category:Powers? Perhaps it's better suited to be a Category:References? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:43, 3 January 2007 (EST)

  • There used to be a "plot points" category, but I'm not sure where to put it now. It's more of a concept than anything else, but it related more to the space/time manipulation power than anything else. --Ted C 16:12, 3 January 2007 (EST)

Empty Pictures

Incidentally, I tried to link appropriate pictures to the gallery, but the two of Charlie's birthday party aren't rendering for me (IE 6.0.2900 on XP). --Ted C 16:15, 3 January 2007 (EST)

  • Me neither (FF 2.0/IE7), and the links are correct. Ryan and I were talking about this problem yesterday.--Hardvice (talk) 16:18, 3 January 2007 (EST)
    • How about now? I just basically deleted and retyped the Image links in the gallery. When you clicked on the image it was going to Charlie_birthday_1.jpg but then it had some ASCII hex after it for some reason so it didnt find the filename, but it didn't show up when editing the page. Not sure what the deal was, but it seems to work now. (Admin 16:28, 3 January 2007 (EST))

Picture of Hiro meeting kid Hiro

It's a cool picture, but is it really related to the "Paradox" theme? Why is Adult Hiro meeting Kid Hiro a paradox? If it's not, why is the main picture of this article?

L Lawliet 02:32, 4 November 2008 (EST)

  • It might have been a paradox cause if kid Hiro remembered meeting his adult self, it could influence his actions in his path to adulthood. Do you have a better picture in mind?--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:55, 4 November 2008 (EST)
  • Well, now there is yet another time when kid Hiro and Hiro meet: when he goes to see his mother. Hiro has never mentioned that he remembers seeing himself when he was a kid. In fact, kid Hiro doesn't seem to recognize his future self, so maybe that's why he doesn't remember it. I remember that in popular culture, they say that when you travel in time you should NOT see your future/past self, for some weird reason (maybe you'd explode if that ever happened...). But that doesn't seem to apply in the Heroes universe. That's why I don't see why the picture should represent the Paradox article. Maybe a comparison between the picture of Charlie's birthday with and without Hiro would be more appropriate, but what do I know, anyway? L Lawliet 01:04, 16 December 2008 (EST)

Formatting

Is it possible to override the width of the infobox on this page? --Ted C 13:45, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

  • No. Images for infoboxes need to be standard size.--Hardvice (talk) 14:54, 24 April 2007 (EDT)
    • I fixed the image so it would be standard size, which conveniently cut the watermark off, too. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:38, 27 April 2007 (EDT)

Season 2 Paradox Thoughts

It remains to be seen whether Hiro will have any Paradox or Rift problems while visiting 1671. Since he didn't go to that time for any particular reason, he can't easily alter the past so as to eliminate his reason for time-traveling. Any issues he does have with Rifts/Paradoxes may help us determine what restrictions he has when journeying into the past. --Ted C 18:01, 26 September 2007 (EDT)

Kaito's Death

When Kaito dies in S2, and Hiro goes back to convince him not to be there, isn't this a paradox? --Iheartheroes 20:14, 10 September 2009 (EDT)

  • No, because Kaito dies anyway. AltesUTC CH
    • Right, but isn't that what a Paradox is? He had gone back in time to save his father, but it enevitably still stayed the same...--Iheartheroes 07:06, 11 September 2009 (EDT)
      • Well, paradox is an event which means that history contradicts itself. I think had Hiro succeeded in saving his father, only then a paradox would have happened, because Hiro eliminated his own reason to go back in time. Rescuing Charlie would've ended with a paradox too. But Hiro failed both times, and the history remained intact. AltesUTC CH
