With Matt watching from a distance, Danko greets a surprised Alena with a hug. Danko asks her if everything is alright as he peeks inside to check; Alena answers him by pulling him through the door after her. In his car, Matt draws a gun from the glove compartment. |

After some time has passed, Alena walks Danko outside while Matt, who is now hiding around the corner of the front porch, listens in. Alena calls Danko "Jakob" and tells him she's glad to see him, in Russian. Danko teases her about not practicing English in front of him, like she promised, and she tells him she'll practice for him, but only him. Danko and Alena then hold each other as Alena inquires about his early departure. Danko tells her that it was last minute and that he has to fly back to Chicago. A car then arrives to Danko away. After stating he has to go, Danko notices Alena's sadness and asks her to smile. He promises to be back in Washington before she knows it, which makes Alena smile. They kiss and Danko makes his way to the car while Alena heads back inside. |

Alena is doing the dishes while Matt breaks into her house and aims at a gun at her. He struggles with the morality of the situation before lowering his gun and turning around to leave. Alena lets out a surprised gasp as she notices him. She demands to know how he got into her house. At a loss for words, Matt apologizes and tells her it was a bad idea. Alena is in disbelief as she believes Matt was sent by the escort service. She tells him that she told them to send her no more but they never listen. Surprised at the revelation, Matt asks if "the man that was just here" is a client. Alena corrects him, calling Danko "Jakob Pradassa". She then asks how Matt knows about him, prompting Matt to use his telepathy to push into her mind the idea that he and Jakob are work partners and that Matt was asked to meet Pradassa at Alena's house. Alena is happy to finally meet one of Jakob's friends, and asks Matt to take a seat. |

Matt looks at a picture of Alena and Danko as Alena pours him some tea. Matt asks how long Alena's been seeing her beau. She admits she's been seeing him for almost a year, but is hesitant to say how they met. Matt then asks if Danko talks about his work. He's surprised when Alena says he works as a schoolbook salesperson, selling to people all over the world. She then admits it sounds boring, prompting Matt to say that Danko's sales calls keep him travelling. Alena then tells Matt that it isn't just his job keeping him away; it's also his family. His curiousity piqued, Matt inquires as to what Danko has said about this family. When Alena tells him that Danko said he has a wife and two sons and that once those sons were grown they'd be together, Matt is in disbelief. Alena mistakes the purpose for the disbelief and reaffirms her faith in Danko's motives by stating that she didn't have a very good life and that Danko was a blessing. When Alena says that Danko loves her, Matt tells her "the sick thing is, he probably does. But he does not deserve you." Matt then tells her that Jakob is a lie and she needs to get away from him now, but she refuses to believe him. Matt then tells her that he is going to show her everything about Jakob. |
