Trivia
* According to the November 24-December 7, 2008, issue of TV Guide, Sam is named after Sam Loeb, Jeph Loeb's son. Sam Loeb was a budding comic book writer who died of cancer in 2005 at the age of 17. He died before completing the story for Superman/Batman, Issue #26, so Jeph Loeb and 25 other industry professionals (including Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Jim Lee, Duncan Rouleau, Tim Sale, and Michael Turner) finished writing and penciling the issue for Sam. David Moran, Peter Steigerwald, Dave Stewart, and others from Aspen Comics colored the issue. All contributors donated their fees and royalties for the issue to The Sam Loeb College Scholarship Fund. Incidentally, Seth Green dedicated Operation: Rich in Spirit, the seventeenth episode of Robot Chicken, to Sam Loeb's memory.
* According to Michael Ausiello, Sam's name was originally supposed to be "Seth".
