Moving Pages

• Then you have to suggest it. If it is already suggested leave a vote. Doing that without discussion is defined as vandalism here. And if you continue, you will be blocked. There are many abilities with out names. The way we get names is by agreeing on them.     • A wiki is all about making changes. Wikipedia has a policy called be bold. If the rule prevent you from making the wiki better, ignore them. This does not entitle me to ignore all rules, but since they obstruct us from bettering our ability pages we must overlook them for the greater good.             • You "din't" know what the rule are for in the first place. They are here to make the wiki a better place. When they do not suffice, they must temporarily be abrigded. This behavious must be monitored carefully, but it is the best way to increase quality. I shall not make the same edit more than 3 times per day, a per the standard wikipedian policy, but I shall continue to do my best to improve this wiki, wether or not your attempts at lowering it's quality are successful--IDoWhatMustBeDone 14:27, 29 November 2009 (EST)

                  • To clarify, it is considered helpful when members do what they can to keep the quality standards up at this wiki. However, there are patrollers here (Catalyst being one, myself being another) that are assigned to maintain quality levels on this wiki. This includes making sure people are not making erroneous or not-agreed-upon edits on the wiki, and reverting any offending edits (yours being one).               • It was a typo for "don't". Don't be a jerk. And once again, this is NOT Wikipedia. We do not follow Wikipedia's set of rules (nor do they follow ours. See our consensus guidelines -- which you have thus far been ignoring -- as an example of how we do not operate the same way as Wikipedia.) If you make the edit more than once at all, especially after being asked to stop, you're going to get reported. To my own surprise, I agree with you. Something needs to be changes there for the better quality of the wiki. However, being as rude as you may be another thing which may lead you to getting blocked. AltesUTC CH

  • You could say that again. Unfortunately, Tim Kring and his crew are the ones who decide what is what in Heroes, and there were similar cases in the past when everything we speculated was wrong until we received confirmations. Ando's ability, for example, or Sylar's empathic mimicry. Waiting won't make this wiki worse, but hurry may. AltesUTC CH
  • There are rules here to ensure there is consistency throughout the wiki. It's nothing to do with change it's about making sure the information presented here is accurate. Your attitude

Good day, IDoWhatMustBeDone. I've taken a look at your edits, and there's nothing wrong with them, especially for a new user like you. New users often make the mistake of moving pages without discussing it, so there's nothing to worry about there. What is worrying to the rest of us is your attitude here at the wiki -- you seem to think it's your own job to make the wiki better. It isn't. It's the community's. When the rest of the community approaches you about it, you tell them to stay out of your business, instead of trying to discuss the name for the ability. Unfortunately, these are simply not attitudes that members of the community should have when working together. You are free to continue to make edits, but be warned that your edits are under close scrutiny. Please change your attitude to a more friendly one, since a continually hostile user is not a user that we want to be actively editing. Since you do not run the wiki, if you blatantly try to "improve" the wiki with your grand ideas on everyone's behalf, your edits will be reverted.
