Different people discover their abilities, including Claire, the high school cheerleader who heals any wound; Nathan, a politician whose brother Peter claims he can fly; Hiro, who learns he can teleport; Niki, who fears she's losing her mind; and Isaac, who believes he can paint the future. Meanwhile, Mohinder continues his late father's work and searches for his murderer, while the man with horn-rimmed glasses he discovered searching his father's apartment in Madras turns out to be Claire's father.

Don't Look Back

Some of the heroes have problems accepting the fact that they are more than human. Hiro discovers a murdered Isaac, and realizes he traveled forward in time, and sees the future of New York City: an explosion that consumes the entire city.
