Ren is confronted in the woods by Crash's friends from the football team, including the black-haired and brown-haired jocks. They jump on him and begin to beat him. Ren manages to free himself and escape from his attackers by running away from them. However, he ends up falling down a steep hill.

While dream, Piper is visited by Sanjog Iyer in the woods. Sanjog tells her that he is not there to harm her. When lights shine down from the night sky, he tells her that they have come for her, they know she is special and want to know her secrets. Sanjog adds that she must look within herself to solve the mystery, and that the answer can protect her from them.
