About
Four Months Ago...
Maya, dressed as a nun, is praying inside a church, when Alejandro comes in. She is surprised that he was able to find her. Alejandro signals the sheriff to come in and take Maya, but when she starts refusing being handcuffed and shocked by her brother's betrayal, Maya starts manifesting her power again, killing both the sheriff and the Mother Superior. Alejandro grabs her by her hands telling her to calm down. He now understands what happened back at his wedding and believes that it wasn't Maya's fault. He tells her they should leave, and they run off together.
