About
A shackled Chinese fugitive treks across the icy plains of Yanqing, hoping to evade his captors. When he hears the revving of snowmobile engines, he looks back and sees several of them headed his way. Not wanting to be captured again, the fugitive uses a makeshift shank to sever his hand from the weight slowing him down, allowing him to fly up and away from Yanqing.

Notes
- There is no city of Yanqing in China in real life, though there is a county located in Beijing named Yanqing and an identically named town within the county.
- The location is incorrectly named as "Yanquing, China" in the Brave New World eBook.
