Revision as of 23:46, 2 November 2008

These are just the references I can come up with off the top of my head (the Kyle XY reference I saw tonight was totally original, and practically forced me to make this page)... I'm sure there are a bunch more. If anybody can remember any others, or if you spot any new ones, feel free to add it to the page. I think after we have it organized, we could probably move it into the mainspace. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:34, 27 August 2007 (EDT)

Main article

  • I suggest this be moved into the main article namespace. It's got some good information in it. (Admin 20:18, 1 September 2007 (EDT))
    • I'll get on that soon. I'm wondering how to categorize it. It doesn't belong in Category:References because it's not a reference made in Heroes. Looking at Memory Alpha, they've categorized their counterpart page (actually they have quite a few, broken down by medium) in "Category:Star Trek". I guess that would make the most sense, to place it under Category:Heroes. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:51, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
      • Yeah, Category:Heroes does make sense and fits in with the other articles in the category. (Admin 01:32, 2 September 2007 (EDT))

Portal / Lead pic

So I was wondering where to link this page for a portal, and if so, it'd be nice to have a lead pic. Any suggestions for either?--Bob (talk) 17:45, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

  • I actually want to add a bunch of pictures to this page à la Memory Alpha. We could choose one of those images as a lead. I would imagine it'll be one of the many STCSTW parodies. Maybe the Family Guy one, or the one from The Simpsons? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:00, 20 October 2007 (EDT)
    • I'd like to get a shot of Stewie as a cheerleader for Portal:Lists, but I can't find a live link to the video.--Hardvice (talk) 03:38, 21 October 2007 (EDT)

MadTV Parodies

MadTV has spoofed Heroes twice. Once was simply a reference [1] while the other [2] was a full-on parody. I'm not sure of the original airdates of the two segments, so I wasn't sure whether to add them yet. -- Paronine 20:44, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

Gallery?

Does anyone like the idea of adding a gallery to this page? --Ice Vision (talk) 16:22, 7 January 2008 (EST)

  • Yes. Good luck finding pics. Most of the YouTube videos have been pulled. Mere mentions (like Kyle XY) do not make very good images. There are copyright issues with duplicating entire comic strips. If any images can be found, it might be better to right-float a thumbnail in the appropriate section rather than making a gallery. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:44, 7 January 2008 (EST)
    • I took two screencaps (here and here). How do you think they should be set up? --Ice Vision (talk) 23:09, 7 January 2008 (EST)
      • If they are standard 450x350px format, just place [[Image:<imagename>|<right or left>|225px]] where you want each image on the article (it should be placed above the text you want to float next to.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:12, 7 January 2008 (EST)
        • I wouldn't force the width on any thumbnails. Actually, what I would do in this case (since there are two pictures and since the toc gets in the way) is make a small gallery within the Batman section, but beneath the text. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:54, 7 January 2008 (EST)

It's not really that notable. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 18:46, 2 November 2008 (EST)
