Information Absorption is the ability to absorb or drain the information from others with physical contact.

Characters

• An unknown male had this ability.

Limits

This ability requires concentration, so the holder doesn't keep getting information when he shakes hands or hugs someone. Depending on how much force you use, the effect of the person could just copy the info, drain the info forcing the memory to be wiped, drain the info and lobotomize the person, or take the information and even kill the the victim. The same rules apply if used on an evolved human. If done lightly, the holder could copy the power without killing or wiping the memory of the special. The holder could also take the ability forcefully and kill or wipe the memory of the person. There also appears to be a white light leaving the victim and entering the holder during the process.

Unknown Male

The unknown male hasn't had much experience with this power. But he has absorbed some information from people, mostly using it then wiping their memory so they didn't remember what he had done.

Catalyst

Catalyst also has this ability. With it he has acquired information and soon discovered that he could absorb powers. The first time he got a power, he used to much force and accidentally lobotomized the man who possessed the ability to to summon great strength. He practiced this ability and soon mastered it and then acquired another ability, turn into metal.

Future Catalyst

In a possible future, Catalyst has shown to have acquired more abilities. He has spent much time mastering each and every ability to perfection. In this dark future, he feels the need to help those in need, not only in his own city, but everywhere in the world. To see the abilities he has collected over time, see here.

Notes

• This ability is similar to Arthur's ability and Peter's newly acquired ability, but is not to be confused with these abilities.

• In a way this power is also like Sylar's ability. He wants to know how people think and work.
