Dylan Grunwald is an evolved human who had Empathic mimicry, the ability to mimic the powers of others around him and reproduce them at will. He lived in North Carolina with his mom and dad, but was sent to China to live with his grandmother when his attitude got out of hand. In China he discovered his ability by absorbing his first one from his grandmother. He was on a fight to save the world from Garrett Anderson and Richard Hardy, who are trying to kill people with special abilities. When he found out Garrett was his brother, they joined forces to defeat the other specials, and Garrett killed Richard. However, after Garrett betrayed him, he joined the company to stop him. When he learned that his mother had tried to kill him at birth, he joined Garrett and Edward at Pinehearst, hunting down the members of Primatech. His final battle was at Primatech, when he started glowing just like in the painting. After much debate from his family, he flew into the sky and blew up away from the city.

Dylan wakes up in a crate that is supposed to be full of iPods. Three men question him and he realizes he has lost some of his memory, and he can't remember his name. The only thing he knows about himself is that he can shoot lightning from his hand. He escapes and finds that Jim has discovered his full ability. He finds Bella in Russia and they teleport to the future, where they find the world devestated by a deadly virus. He returns trying to stop it and joins Garrett, also giving Bella and Jin abilities. Him, Garrett, Bella, Jin, and Ando fight off Jim's army, and Prima-New.

His dad, who he thought was dead, appeared and absorbed his abilities, leaving him powerless. He then joined with Jim. While in the middle of a fight between Jim, his father, and Garrett, he somehow gains his ability back.

Dylan's ability is known as the most special, because he mimicks the abilities of others around him. While other evolved humans only have one ability, he can have several. His power has shown no limits at this point and he can reproduce the abilities at will.
