Santo Domingo (also known as Santo Domingo de Guzman) is the capital and largest city in the Dominican Republic. It is located on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic and has an estimated population of 2,250,000.

Four Months Ago...
Alejandro and Gloria get married and have a reception in Santo Domingo. Gloria invites her old boyfriend, and they scurry off to a building to fool around. Maya walks down a street, overhears them, and confronts the two. Gilberto gets angry, and Maya cries. As Gloria and Gilberto die, Maya leaves the building, and sees the rest of the reception attendees lying dead in the streets.
The entire area is decorated quite festively, until the dead bodies litter the scene. Maya finds the only survivor, Alejandro, and the two flee.
