Idea for this page

I like the idea for this page, especially in light of Chuck Kim's recent EW interview about the upcoming five-month story arc we will see in the graphic novels. However, I would call the page "Company partnerships". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:24, 15 April 2008 (EDT)

    • Barring some surge of hatred from the community, I don't have any intention of deleting the page. And even in that case, I would just move it to the user namespace. Sections

I don't think this page really needs a section for each episode--that's really what the article about the Company is for. I think it'd be neat to see this page broken into sections that list each partnership, and then have a short narrative about each partnership. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:04, 15 April 2008 (EDT)

• I don't know if Hank and Lisa were partners, but they were definitely paired together; there's no evidence Lisa is a scientist. Noah and Candice definitely did work together--they went to talk to Isaac together, and Candice is actually Noah's last partner.       • Does training not count as a partnership? Who's to say that other partnerships weren't also "just training" partnerships?     • Let's see: the Haitian erased Elle's memory sometime around October 2006 (Elle's First Assignment), then the two pair up to go after Peter and Adam in March 2007 (Four Months Later...). Odd. Revamp

This article really needs to be reworked, especially since the majority of the graphic novels from now until the start of Season Three will focus on different partnerships. I have some ideas for what the direction of the page should look like, but I wanted to solicit the ideas of others before I say anything. • I am thinking of two additions:

1. a horizontal TOC with links just to each partnership since the list is beginning to grow long.
2. a template-style infobox for each partnership that would have entries for "image" (an image showing both partners), "timespan", "human", "evolved", and "ability".--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:51, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

• • Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. I think we need to lose the histories, much of the whitespace, and the tons and tons of pictures. This should be a list page, so info should be minimal. A picture is fine, but we don't need every instance of the partnership sharing a frame.     • Actually, I would keep the histories ("mission listings" is what I would prefer to call them) and move them to an expandable table. Knowing who went on what mission is handy, imho. The table could even be moved to the bag and tag article for simplicity, but a link to the appropriate section should remain.       • No, I don't mind the list of missions. It's the narratives that bug me. Not every partnership has one--it's the three or four sentences that are right under the section headings. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:53, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

Speaking of Bag and tags and missions and such, ChrisYu has this going (though not up to date right now), which is kinda similar to this over at Lostpedia. Employing something like those might work here and/or on Bag and tag. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 02:56, 29 May 2008 (EDT)

  • Yeah, I think that layout is better than what we have right now. Thompson, Jr. and Penny Logan

I think this partnership should be removed or at least clarified. They were on assignment together, but Elle was also with them, and who knows whom else was on that assignment. Also, the timespan is missing for it at the top of the page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:07, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

The page so far...

This page looks good. I like the single pic, and I think the pared down information is spot on. Does the TOC automatically update? Very cool. I'm not digging the colors at all. I know it's more boring, but I'd rather see wikitables, or something more along the lines of the look of list of abilities. The style of the boxes, though nice, don't match our style at Heroes Wiki.         • I'm open to using other colors, but I'd like to keep the active teams being a different color. Do you have a suggestion other than all gray? Can you clarify what you want? Is it the colors themselves, or just that you don't like any color other than white/gray underneath the text?
