* I don't see this as a mistake on the part of the writers, or the character. Having been a teacher himself, it's more plausible to presume he may have connections in Quantico. We don't know enough to assume he's "making things difficult for himself." In fact, sending it to the New York office, or Washington DC, may have set himself up for ridicule. If so, Mohinder is making things difficult for himself: one of the largest FBI field offices is in New York City, and Headquarters is in Washington, D.C.
