As the game of cat and mouse escalates, Danko finds himself a surprising new ally - Emmy award-winner Zeljko Ivanek guest stars.

Now that Nathan’s (Adrian Pasdar) ability has been revealed and he has lost control of his operation, he and Claire (Hayden Panettiere) go into hiding in Mexico. With Emile Danko (guest star Zeljko Ivanek) now in control of the government operation, his plan to destroy everyone with abilities is set into motion as he teams up with an unlikely partner. Meanwhile, Angela (Cristine Rose) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) seek refuge in a church and begin to mend their broken relationship. Kevin Alejandro also guest stars. Jack Coleman also stars.

Fan Theories

• Sylar will be taken to were evolved humans are being held and the hunger will consume him leading him to obtain abilities such as precognition, telepathy, induced radioactivity etc. which will make him temporarily crazy...
• "Asylum" refers to political asylum, which fits with the fugitive theme of the volume.
• Post-humans who agree to help Nathan will be granted asylum.
• Other countries grant asylum to post-humans.
• Sylar will be Danko's unlikely ally.
• Nathan will be shot again.
• Nathan and Claire will meet up.
• Tracy, having finally escaped Nathan's men, will seek protection from the governor.
• Tracy, having escaped Building 26, will seek out Micah to ensure his safety, after seeing his picture on the board of heroes in Nathan's base.
• After Nathan's abilities are revealed to the government, Nathan flees, with Claire, to Mexico, were he attempts to gain Asylum.
