Peter's amnesia
- "Removed the peter theory - It hasn't been stated in the show he has amnesia (we only know through spoilers)"
Well, I haven't read the spoilers (Thanks alot for that), but it seems vaguely obvious at the end of the episode that he has amnesia, since he doesn't know who he is.--Tim Thomason 18:55, 25 September 2007 (EDT)
- Sorry for pointing out the spoilers, but wether it's obvious or not, all he said was "I don't know." Being knocked out, waking up somewhere unknown, and having someone you don't know asking you a question wouldn't classify as amnesia. Amnesia is forgetting something you've known completely. --Riddler 18:59, 25 September 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, but being asked who you are, and not knowing the answer, is a standard television staple for amnesia. The intention of the scene is to show that Peter is in a strange place and doesn't know who he is. I agree it may be slightly speculative, but this is a theory page and all. Kind of like wondering if Kaito is dead or just severely, badly, injured (don't spoil me on that one if I'm wrong).--Tim Thomason 19:08, 25 September 2007 (EDT)
- Well, saying "Peters amnesia" IS speculative. The right way to use it would be "Peter has amnesia" as the theory itself, then build off of that.--Riddler 19:42, 25 September 2007 (EDT)

Can we remove the "Elle" theory?
It's about spoilers. x.x--Riddler 18:33, 8 October 2007 (EDT)
- Absolutely. Theory pages can definitely use outside sources, but they are not spoiler pages. Since Elle does not yet exist in the world of Heroes, there should be no mention of her on the page, or on any page which is not marked with a spoiler warning. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:37, 8 October 2007 (EDT)
- Readded it, since Elle has made her shocking debut. </badpun> Thrashmeister 22:55, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
Too many theories...
Can something be done to clean up this theory page? I mean, yeah, Peter's a major character, and his power leaves a lot of possibilities. But the number and length of theories here is just crazy... By the time I get to the bottom of the page, I've forgotten all the stuff up top.
I've been trying to clean up some stuff here, merging duplicate theories and such. But it hasn't made much of a dent. Would people be okay removing some of the older, less current theories? Like the one about density manipulation, or whether he absorbed Eden's ability, or maybe the one about Ricky and the gang? I know they haven't been proven/disproven, but a lot of them seem like they never will be, and it takes way too long to find theories actually about recent events with the page as clogged as it is. ---Shade 14:46, 14 October 2008 (EDT)
Can I move the recent theories from the top of the page to the bottom, so the newer ones will be together? It would help a lot if everyone would follow a standard for adding them, so a person could just go to the bottom (or top) to see the new stuff. Lindsaynickel 00:44, 18 November 2008 (EST)
Should we remove any theories involving Empathic Mimicry?
Seeing as Peter's ability has changed, aren't these theories now invalidated?--Steelymcbeam 09:31, 18 February 2009 (EST)
I agree with this guy up here, archive it and delete it all. Peter has a new power now, or, if it's somehow the old one, let there be room for speculation and not random guessing. -+- Discipol
Maybe not all, I mean, theories are not only about things that will happen, it's also about things that already happened, if it's a theory about something in the time Peter had his old ability, I don't see a problem. Theories concerning both abilities also seem valid for me, but I can't say much, since I think the wiki should just erase all theories. Don't we usually have separate theory pages for abilities? - Josh (talk/contribs) 12:55, 18 February 2009 (EST)
- It's debateable that he's got a FORM of his past ability... but it's certainly not the same. All direct theories should be removed or archived. Possibly archived.--

- Not all abilities have theory pages, dunno if this one has. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 13:43, 18 February 2009 (EST)
Killing a theory
"Peter Petrelli's original power was ability replication, and he replicated Sylar's empathic mimicry in "Homecoming"."
I see that the theory was changed to accomodate, new aspects, but doesn't Peter manifesting Hiro's ability when he and Claude were attacked kills it? I mean, if Peter had replicated Hiro's ability, he would have lost it the moment he mimicked someone else, even if he had acquired Sylar's alledged empathic mimicry, since he'd no longer have the ability in his DNA. If his current ability allows him to retain more than one ability though, I can see this working. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 18:25, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
- But Peter had met Hiro, he could still empathically remember. Using his newly replicated ability, to mimick Space-time manipulation by memory. -- Mike the Man-child!
- Nothing suggests a replicated ability can be accessed empathically later by the same user without coming in contact with the original user of the replicated ability. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 16:31, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
- "Claude Rains" helped Peter control Empathic mimicry, it could've also evolved Ability replication. "Claude" may be the cause, of Peter using multiple abilities. -- Mike the Man-child!
- Ability replication is inferior to empathic mimicry, see my counterargument at the theory. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 17:19, 14 May 2009 (EDT)

But Peter didn't "get multiples" from Sylar, because he had empathy before that . . . so he could with his Ability replication, but now he's lost his empathy . . . since he can only use one, when he used to have five: Empathic mimicry, Precognitive dreaming, Flight, Precognition and Space-time manipulation . . . -- Mike the Man-child!
Mike, did you really read this? Time travel has nothing to do with this, it has to do with Noah Gray and Noah Bennet being the same people. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 14:54, 22 November 2009 (EST)
- Yeah, I did read and know that . . . it was about the other theory, but I responded to the discussion . . . and Peter did replicate five powers, before mimicking abilities with Sylar's Empathic mimicry . . . so when Arthur stole his powers, the formula only gave him Ability replication . . . because it's actually his original ability, but now he's lost his empathy . . . -— Mike the Man-child!
