Revision as of 05:40, 30 October 2007
If anyone can help out on this page and contribute their own stuff, I think it'd come out pretty cool. I just need ideas on how to keep it neat.
I don't want to make it a full blown page until someone other than me contributes.
My ideas for quality control would be videos only, and/or a gallery down bottom for snapshots. --Riddler 18:27, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
- Just a note to say that this is coming along nicely. It almost makes me wish we had YouTube embedding.--Hardvice (talk) 18:42, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
I'm disapointed with how my illusion came out.
I wanted to do shapeshifting for the fan powers, but I couldn't find a good enough morph effect, so I did sort of a blur effect for illusion instead.--Riddler 21:40, 21 October 2007 (EDT)
- The illusion was actually one of my favorites. :) (Admin 01:48, 25 October 2007 (EDT))
The gallery
Does it work well for it's purpose? I don't expect many people to make videos, but some people may want to contribute anyway... so if they add (decent looking photos) they can get their recognition... does my Precognition example suit that well?--Riddler 19:50, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- Even just one word of advice?--Riddler 22:21, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- Now that's it's calmed down a bit, anyone have any input?--Riddler 23:54, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- I give up on asking. x.x--Riddler 18:00, 23 October 2007 (EDT)
- Don't give up, it just sometimes takes a few days for us to catch every post, especially now that we're hitting record numbers. The gallery looks good, but one thing you might consider doing is improving the quality of the screenshots. Some are very dark, and some are very orange. Perhaps try playing with the levels and colors. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:11, 23 October 2007 (EDT)
- Agreed. Awesome job with the different effects though, I like them. I think your next one (that should be easy) should be TK with a cup like Sylar.--Bob (talk) 04:38, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- I'm not the best with levels and colors, unfortunatley I don't have a decent camera to work with... and I've been thinking about TK, but it's actually fairly difficult considering the effects... I'd need an invisible string, or I'd have to do it frame by frame... the former would be easier but less realistic. I'm thinking technopathy next, or maybe enhanced speed. Hmm.. Also, if you guys can get a camera or a video camera, do some powers so I can move all of mine into Empathic Mimicry. =P--Riddler 20:20, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- Fishing wire. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:33, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- I figured as much, but I don't have a fishing pole or any fishing gear... I don't think. -goes out to shed---Riddler 21:34, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- Really powerful magnets. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:43, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- XD. I'll see what I can do. I think the two I mentioned before might be the last two easy powers to do... Strength would be too but I'm not that strong in general.--Riddler 21:46, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- Wouldn't telepathy be pretty easy? Enhanced memory, too. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:08, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
- Telepathy yes, but Enhance Memory I can't think of a way to make too interesting. Powers like Memory, Bliss and Horror, Clairvoyance... etc... they're easy to imitate, but in the long run they're not fun to watch. I mean, I loved Charlie, but all she did was name some numbers and learn a language... Bliss and Horror is acting dependant, and Clairvoyance is "They're riiiiighhtt.... HERE!" >_<--Riddler 00:51, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

- Yanno, you should do what the effects people did for technopathy in FoF and just turn on the TV with a remote with your hand up to it. And for TK, one thing you might consider is tilting a camera and having an uneven surface, so it appears like a flat table, and the cup slides to your hand. You can try cryo too with some ice cubes haha. (I don't have a camera or any video software :-( )--Bob (talk) 01:37, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

- The technopathy thing was what I had in mind, but the TK thing is actuaslly a very good idea. Hmm...--Riddler 01:44, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

Power suggestions
I figured I'd add a section for suggestions. I'm sure not all will be feasible, but at least it may generate some thought.
- Cryokinesis - I was thinking about the idea of taking a cup of water and placing it somewhere cold and doing time-lapse photography to show it freezing. Time consuming, but it could work. (Admin 02:20, 25 October 2007 (EDT))
- Induced radioactivity - With the right effect this could be pretty easy since it would be similar to pyrokinesis. (Admin 02:20, 25 October 2007 (EDT))
- Electronic data transception - Not the most glamorous, but pretty easily done say with a shot of someone watching a computer while someone off-screen controls it with a wireless keyboard and mouse. :) (Admin 02:20, 25 October 2007 (EDT))

Very cute, Bob.
