Talk:Arthur's soldiers
This has to be renamed, unless it's specified as "Arthur's army" on the show. Any Marine (notice the capitalization) who reads this will likely be bothered. Arthur's Marines or Arthur's militia could work.--Riddler 22:07, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- Would Arthur's squad work?--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:10, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- I agree, but it's an unnamed group, so as long as the name conveys what the group is about, I think it's fine. No one owns Marines, and militias exist to protect. I think the name is fine. Hell, we've kept Underground railroad for a while.--Bob (talk) 22:13, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- Didn't Aurthur say in the show he needed an army?--OutbackZack 22:14, 11 December 2008 (EST)OutbackZack
- Platoon, since they're in platoon formation, though "Arthur's Marines" is more aesthetically pleasing. Saying they're Arthur's "Army" when they're Marines will definitely offend many Marines. --Riddler 22:15, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- I think the point Riddler is trying to make is that a group of Marines should not be called an army. Maybe a platoon or just soldiers (the iStory just calls them a platoon of military soldiers). However, I think OutbackZack may be right about Arthur calling them an army. From what I understood from the show, they are not working as for the Marine Corps while they are serving Pinehearst. Am I correct?--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:18, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- Go with soldiers. --Riddler 22:19, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- Though, I just realized, soldiers usually refers to the Army as well. Marines are just Marines. Hmm.--Riddler 22:24, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- Did no one see what I said? haha. I'm pretty sure in the show Aurthur said he was going to get an army, or told Tracy to go get him an army. Something like that. If so, then it should be call Aurthur's army. --OutbackZack 22:32, 11 December 2008 (EST)OutbackZack
- I saw and noted what you said, but Arthur's dead now and it's possible Pinehearst has/will recruit more than just Marines. Also, Riddler, you may be interested in this article about using the term soldier to refer to a Marine.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:37, 11 December 2008 (EST)
