He did write Godsend, didn't he?

Yes, you're absolutely correct. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:16, 6 February 2007 (EST)

Heroes Creator Apologizes to Fans

Kring has apologized to fans about a number of issues with this season of Heroes, including pace, the rookies (Maya, Elle, Monica) and Hiro's, Claire's and Peter's storylines.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? -Sec 19:55, 7 November 2007 (EST)

  • I don't agree with him about having Peter go to the future in the season premiere and seeing the virus. We wanted to see stuff about the explosion, but we just got the aftermath of the explosion, which is fair enough, but going from explosion to virus would be too annoying. We would have had episode topics like "virus, virus, virus, by the way here's what happened in the explosion, virus, virus". --SomeoneImportant 09:35, 8 November 2007 (EST)
  • I actually like Season Two quite a bit. Some of the stories have a few problems (Maya and Alejandro seem to keep having the same episode happen to them over and over again, Hiro and Kensei's story seemed like action-by-proxy since we never actually see any of the big events, etc.), but they are, by and large, good stories. I'm glad they expanded the focus beyond last season's regulars and wish they had done so even more than they have, and I think the pacing is great so long as you weren't expecting things to pick up right at the climax. They're basically doing the same thing they did last season--lots of interesting if disconnected stories which are slowly coming together--and that's probably what made Season One so good, so I have no problem with that at all.--Hardvice (talk) 09:43, 8 November 2007 (EST)
    • I think Kring should have done the virus episode as episode 3, since we knew of the explosion by then too, but oh well, still good season. Also, it'd be nice to have met more of the twelve by now. There's a lot left to do in just four more episodes, and I think that could have been spread out more. And I agree with Kring that they could have done a lot more with the feudal Japan storyline.--MiamiVolts (talk) 10:57, 8 November 2007 (EST)
      • I agree pretty much all around. Even if we didn't see first-hand the effects of the virus by episode three, it would have been nice to have at least some sense that something big was coming--maybe something more like Isaac's painting of the explosion and less like Hiro witnessing it, to again use the Season One comparison. And while I like that we're learning more about the twelve slowly (finally got a mention of "the Platts" last episode), it seems a little too slowly. We could at least have learned a bit more about some of the known members (like Angela, Kaito, and Charles's powers, for example), even if they're planning on holding off some members for later.--Hardvice (talk) 11:04, 8 November 2007 (EST)
        • I'm still holding out for a flashback of some meeting of the 12 where they demonstrate their abilities (remember that casting call for a young Joanna Cassidy?). But all in all, I think that the pacing is great TV. Tim's mainly apologizing for the casual fan of last year who expected the kind of pace the second and third pod of last season had, and finding it to be like the first pod of last season. Rating are down, but total viewership is up if I recall. I just think people need to wait for the season to end before they get too critical, but at least Tim confirms that he listens to the fans.--Bob (talk) 11:18, 8 November 2007 (EST)
  • Season two has been quite good. Couldn't agree more with the Oily Twins storyline, as Monty Python would say, "GET ON WITH IT!". Also, we did spend alto of time in Japan with, IMHO, little pay-off. I second the notion on the info coming out about the group of 12. Wondering why we haven't gotten more information by this point. It's obvious that their history plays a large part in what is going on, so knowing some of it would be nice. Maybe a cool 70's flashback of Bob and Angela dropping acid and putting down that Tsunami in Florida? Also, a better parallel between Kensei and Adam would have been nice. Maybe starting us off with Adam and Peter in their cells and follow along at the same speed with Hiro and Kensei in the 17th century. Then just as Hiro kisses Yaeko and is betrayed by Kensei, Peter gets betrayed by Adam and finds out he has been held captive the last 30 years for a very good reason. Oh, and how about making Four Months Ago... a 2 part episode? Because I really could use some catching up on the other characters goings on during the missing 4 months. (Matt/Mohinder/Sylar) Oh, and I don't know what they were thinking with their D.L. storyline, but they were wrong. A great character who just gained a whole new dynamic in 4 Months Ago, only to be killed again in the exact same way he was at the end of Season 1....it's just senseless.--Mish(Talk) 09:49, 15 November 2007 (EST)
    • Mish that Adam/Kensei storyline sounds ace, although more confusing. Also just to comment on this season, I remember all the interviews between the first and second season and whenever a question about parents was mentioned the answer would be "What's the name of the next season?" - Generations. What happened there? There's only been Maury and Bob. --SomeoneImportant 11:41, 15 November 2007 (EST)
      • See, I was wondering the same thing. I mean really, like you wouldn't ask your parents what their special ability was?! --Mish(Talk) 11:53, 15 November 2007 (EST)
        • I thought most of season 2 has been pretty good. But I think the problem was definitely Four Months Ago.... For me the plot seemed to contrived, forced, and rushed, and things didn't fit well. I think it is quite obvious that they wanted to rush to "pick up the pace" and to stock pile before the writer's strike. Random guy 12:14, 15 November 2007 (EST)
