Highlander is a movie, television, comic, and video game franchise involving immortals who fight to the death (via beheading), which results in the victor taking the power of the loser (called the quickening). The initial movie debuted in 1986, and the primary lead characters for the franchise are fellow clansmen Connor McCloud and Duncan McCloud (portrayed respectively by Christopher Lambert and Adrian Paul).

Notes

  • Graphic Novelist J. T. Krul was a writer for the comic Highlander: Way of the Sword (2007).
  • The manner in which immortals must decapitate the heads of their rivals to stop them, is similar to how brain penetration stops the abilities of evolved humans.
