The motorcycle bikers
Anyone else here hoping the bikers turn out to be Kimiko's friends? That would be a fun twist. :) It did seem almost like Kimiko was waiting for them... the sword doesn't look so nice, but maybe it's all part of the plan. Hmm...--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:52, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
- I'm hoping it ends with Ando and Kimiko hugging or something, and Ando saying something cheesy like "And as always, the hero gets the girl," with a silly grin on his face implying "you know something's gonna go down later today". --DocM 14:55, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
- I have a feeling it's going to end with Kimiko saving Ando with some power she has. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:08, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
- Absolutely agreed. I think Ando is being used as a vehicle (again :)) for another character's heroism/powers. --crwills 11:53, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
- Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I'm hoping this series actually focuses on Ando and shows he's a hero DESPITE not being and evolved human. That would really touch my heart! :) Disney42 19:25, 22 August 2007 (EDT)

The bikers are Yakuza, as that is their typical hit squad types. A little quieter than drive-bys that we see here in the states. -- Icewind 15:08, 27 August 2007 (EDT)
- That may be, but unless we have some kind of confirmation from the story or even from a writer or artist, it's a bit of speculation. I'd go so far as to say they're a "gang", but not that they're part of an organized crime group. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:13, 27 August 2007 (EDT)
Timeline
Doesn't it make sense that Ando finds out his position was replaced the morning after Hiro drops him off? I don't see why it isn't a firm date of Nov 8th...--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:07, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
- It certainly makes sense, but is not confirmed. I would definitely not lock down a date. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:09, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
- Then it should be 'After Nov 7th', not 'After Nov 8th' as it is currently listed...--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:11, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
- "After November 8th" implies it was on November 9th or later. "After November 7th" sounds silly. I would simply tag it on to the end of the event we already have listed, with a "later" explanation. I'll take care of that now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:24, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Potential Trivia
- Is this the first time a graphic novel was given an editor's note? And who is the editor in question that added the note? Hmm...--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:21, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
- Apropos of nothing, I was kinda disappointed that it didn't say "translated from the Japanese", like in old Marvel comics.--Leshia 02:12, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
Cologne?
did ando really use cologne?like he meant Eau de toilette.....or did he indeed use "water of the toilets"...literally? -_- Divinebaboon 10:14, 26 August 2007 (EDT)
- I didn't read the GN but if Ando says Eau de toilette, here in France, it means Parfum, like Cologne yeah. And of course not water of the toilets. Making is toilette in France is a old word to say getting prepared (nice and clean) to go out. --
(talk) 10:27, 26 August 2007 (EDT)
- When he said "water of the toilets" it was probably just a funny mistranslation on Ando's part. The cologne was a reference to Distractions when Ando put on cologne because Kimiko was around. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:02, 26 August 2007 (EDT)
Title
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the "Is" in the title here should be capitalised, as it is a verb. --Radicell (talk) 15:42, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- I thought the same thing. But I guess because the title is written that way, that's how we wrote it. But it's so long ago now that I can't quite remember... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:23, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- Ah, that's infuriating. The pedant in me believes that this is one of those situations where the logic behind "[sic]" should be applied. Thoughts? --Radicell (talk) 19:06, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- I'm all in favor of just making the change to Heroism Is Found in the Heart. I just don't want to physically make the changes. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:10, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
