Debate

Since no one started, let me: Does this GN mean Mohinder no longer has his ability altogether, or that he no longer has the unwanted side effects? I see no logic in him no longer having the ability altogether, but that's what the GN seemed to imply to me. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 09:57, 20 January 2009 (EST)

  • Those marks on his body are gone cause the catalyst entered his body through those wounds. That was the only part missing for his ability to be normal. I like his ability now :)--Alen76 10:08, 20 January 2009 (EST)
    • "now free of the physical effects of the imperfect formula" seems to suggest that the actual ability is still there. Anyhow, it doesn't give any proof in either direction, so we'll have to wait before making any changes to the Mohinder article.
As of the actual story, it was little more than forgettable... Martinez' art feels kinda rushed, and - although it's nice to meet a new writer - Joseph Robert Donnelly's script is, while not straight out bad, quite uninspired... It's issues like this that reminds me that the GNs are foremost made for promotional reasons... --Pierre 10:32, 20 January 2009 (EST)
      • I also thought that this line by Mohinder, after jumping out of the moving car and sliding down a 20' embankment also implied he still has his powers, just not the scaly side-effects: "And now, again, I run...I run til the adrenaline is gone and even I feel the strain". --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 01/20/2009 10:35 (EST)
        • I also assumed Mohinder still had his abilities, just without the side effects. I loved the graphic novel, but of course this might just because it was all about Mohinder. I did think they could have done better with the art, but I thought the premise of the story was very informative, and, well, I’m just glad Mohinder’s going to be back on the right path. (Hopefully he’ll stay there.) --Mohinder613 (my talk page) 15:45, 20 January 2009 (EST)

Joseph Robert Donnelly

BTW - does anyone know ANYTHING of writer Donnelly? I've never heard of him before, and unless he is a former surgeon, neither has Google, as it seems... --Pierre 10:37, 20 January 2009 (EST) it could e a pename --Manwithnoname 12:44, 20 January 2009 (EST)

  • I imagine he's the British horror and children's writer whose works are featured here. For more info., see his profile at Orionbooks.co.uk--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:15, 20 January 2009 (EST)
