Character History
Graphic Novel:Hanging By a Thread
Having escaped from Building 26, Howie is seen being chased by Rachel. In order to avoid escape Howie uses his ability to slow her down. Instead he causes Rachel to fall off the rooftop, forcing her with no other choice but to teleport in order to save herself. Rachel then retaliates by whacking Howie, but manages to throw him off instead. Before he can fall down to his death she seizes him by the arm and interrogates him while doing so while Howie holds onto her for support. He is spared from death though when Rachel receives a message from Rebel. Throwing both herself and Howie off the edge, she teleports them safely to the ground and allows Howie to escape.
The Wall
Sylar (getting confused with Nathan's memories) remembers that Howie Kaplan beat Peter in the 50-yard dash when they were younger.
