Interview talk:Christina Haberkern
Interview
Hi, all. I'm going to conduct an interview with Christina Haberkern, who has been prolific at creating props for Heroes. She also creates a lot of miscellaneous art, like the advertisements in 9th Wonders!, or Jeremy Greer's notebooks. I'm really psyched about this, because there is such cool trivia associated with the props she makes. One thing I'd really like to do is feature a lot of her work that was cut from the show (which happens often), as well as high quality versions of the stuff we barely see. I'd also like to have some text to go along with the visuals, and so I'd like to have Christina answer some questions for us. I have an idea of some of the questions I'd like to ask, but I'm certainly open to more questions--they can be either general questions, or specific questions about specific props she has designed. If you have any questions you'd like me to ask Christina, submit them below. Thanks, all! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:03, 13 November 2009 (EST)
- I figured I should add a list of some of the props that Christina designed so that people would be able to focus their questions. Here goes:
- Jeremy Greer's notebooks, full of images of death and angsty angst
- The Haberkern box of toner that Noah carries into Copy Kingdom
- The fake ads in 9th Wonders! (including Tit for Tat, Skaddens, the "Hell Demon" ad (see the full version), and I think Dogs on Mars, blue Bumbledroid, red Bumbledroid, and X-ray glasses)
- The charcoal versions of Arthur's drawings
- Peter's passport
- The files Micah pulls up on his computer
- Newspaper articles (including the US Press)
- Sandra and Noah's divorce document
- When are you planning to send your list of questions to her?--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:56, 15 November 2009 (EST)
- We didn't set an exact date. She's out of the country for a week, and my daughter hasn't been born yet, so I figured I would let everybody know about the interview, and then send her Christina the questions a short time after she's back in the U.S., and things are settled with my family. I figure the questions will be sent by Thanksgiving (the holiday, not the episode). -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:31, 15 November 2009 (EST)
Questions for Christina
...I'm just going to submit questions myself. I have lots of ideas for the interview...and I have a feeling that this will be the kind of interview that is ongoing, where Christina and I will exchange a number of emails back and forth, rather than the traditional ask-and-answer model. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk)
- Probably not what you were expecting for questions, but could you ask if A) she made any props with dates on them, or B) if she happens to know "when" we are? :P --Ricard Desi (t,c) 00:49, 19 November 2009 (EST)
- Generally, Christina makes very generic props...or props with old dates (like Peter's passport). But I'll certainly ask her. However, I'll also add an aside to you that it's pretty clear there are mixed messages onscreen about "when" we are right now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:52, 19 November 2009 (EST)
- I'd like to know if Peter was made female on his passport on purpose - whether it was a joke, or a funny mistake.

- I realize you probably sent in your questions already, but I'm curious about the car that Nathan/Sylar collapses on at the end of The Fifth Stage. He seemed to crush in the roof some. Did Christina design that car, or was that just an air bag changed into a car via computer editing? These days, it's often hard to tell the difference. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:37, 5 December 2009 (EST)
- I can send more questions. I'll ask her... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 04:36, 5 December 2009 (EST)
