Lightning? Really?

It sure didn't look like any lightning I've ever seen. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 22:36, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

  • In DC Comics there's a character, I don't know "his" name but he can use his body to create tornadoes like "Flash" can, I believe he also had the ability to shoot "red" Lightning. Now unless I saw the episode in poor quality, it looked like "Red" lightning to me. Maybe that was that Person's name "Red Lightning" though I'm not sure. --Dman dustin 22:43, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
    • In Dragon Ball there is a character called Son Goku. One of his most powerful attacks is the Kamehameha, an energy blast. Aside from the color of the blast, it is extremely similar to Ando's ability - even the posture are the same. Pic Chrisyu357 00:18, 24 September 2008 (EDT)
      • It looks more like Ryu from Street Fighter with his Shoryuken move, it shoots a blast from his hands. -- Futurepeter 10:16, 24 September 2008 (GMT+1)
        • This is Heroes, not DC or Dragon Ball. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 11:51, 24 September 2008 (EDT)
          • Look at effect it does to Future Hiro, it is lightning, I've seen it a few times. Should we rename the ability on Flint's page to Flint's Ability just because the fire is blue. --Dman dustin 21:53, 24 September 2008 (EDT)
            • No we should not change the name of Flint's ability because it is already said that it's pyrokinesis. -- Futurepeter 07:05, 25 September 2008 (GMT+1)
              • Because you can plainly see it's fire! Just has in Ando, you can plainly see it's lightning!
  • This discussion should be continued at Talk:Ando's ability. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:09, 25 September 2008 (EDT)

  • I think the page should be renamed to "Ando Masahashi (Chaos future)" or "Villain's future" or something... because there's a suggestion, that it should be renamed to "Exposed Future" and I don't think it should, because the exposed timeline has been eliminated when Nathan got shot, remember?...--(unsigned by Meteoritu)
    • Does it really need to be disambiguated? The Outbreak Ando is never dealt with and the Explosion Ando has never been seen and was only mildly referenced. If there's only one Future Ando, we shouldn't need to specify, unless we're willing to change all future articles to their specific type.--Tim Thomason 19:57, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
      • I agree with Meteoritu, name it "Ando Masahashi (Villains Future)" -- Futurepeter 10:50, 29 September 2008 (GMT+1)

  • Is it safe to say that Ando's occupation is unknown, we don't even know if he still works for yamagato.
    • Putting "unknown" for every field in the infobox of every future character just because there's the possibility that they might have changed is highly irrational. No, as far as the viewers are concerned, Ando still works for Yamagato. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 23:17, 7 October 2008 (EDT)

This might be kind of nitpicky, but are we sure his ability is synthetic? It might be jumping the gun a little to put him in that category.--Aburu 02:28, 14 October 2008 (EDT)

  • I agree with you. We don't know for sure.--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:13, 14 October 2008 (EDT)
    • There's a lot of things we don't know for sure. But we know he's a human, and we know that humans can't develop abilities naturally. Angela even tells Ando that the formula can turn people like him into people like Hiro (I Am Become Death). Future Ando was shown in a future where "everyone" can have an ability using the genetic modification formula. Given those facts and the circumstances surrounding Ando's ability, I think it's pretty safe to assume Ando didn't develop an ability naturally, but it was synthetically given to him. I think we're okay leaving it as it is until/unless we have some evidence otherwise. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 03:54, 14 October 2008 (EDT)
      • But who's to say that Ando doesn't already have an ability and he just hasn't exhibited it yet? Perhaps even Angela doesn't know that he has one. Don't get me wrong, I think his ability is synthetic as well, but this is just too speculative right now imho... Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 13:49, 8 November 2008 (EST)
        • I think the evidence is pretty strong that he's a human who was given an ability. He was shown in a future where others were given abilities, he works for Pinehearst Company, Hiro told him that his future self is given abilities, he stole the formula from Hiro, Angela told him he was human, writers have called him human, shall I go on? Yes, we don't know for sure, but I think the overwhelming evidence is enough to add the word "synthetic" next to the ability name in his infobox. Sure, we could remove it, but I think that's even more speculative to say that he's an evolved human who hasn't yet exhibited his ability. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:02, 8 November 2008 (EST)

Is the ability of Exposed Future Ando the same as Ability Supercharging?

  • Ok, so the blasts are both red, but they seem to do completely different affects. In this alternate future is a fatal lighting bolt, and in the current present it amplifies others' abilities. I think they are different powers. Maybe you could get different abilities from the formula depending on external and/or internal factors. Maybe the red color is a genetic predisposition of Ando.

L Lawliet 05:03, 17 December 2008 (EST)

    • I guess, but maybe it affects normal people, since Hiro lost his ability.--NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 06:33, 17 December 2008 (EST)
