Anyone else excited for this? --Heroe!(talk) (contribs) 12:50, 26 May 2007 (EDT)

How will we organize this?

I'm excited too--I guess we going to transcribe it on this wiki. But how do we plan to organize it? I mean, in reality the first season of Origins will be the second season of the show... but for consistency, we could pretend that Origins' first season already happened and start with season two. Opinions?--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:59, 26 May 2007 (EDT)

  • That would be confusing. Since it's only going to be 6 or 7 episodes, we could probably fit all the episodes on this page. --Heroe!(talk) (contribs) 13:02, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
    • I'm thinking that Origins will span multiple seasons too.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:37, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Assuming they're similar in format to normal episodes it might not hurt to just create Episode: articles for each of them when they air and then at the top of the article identify this episode as a Heroes: Origins episode. Then this page can list each episode similar to the Season One article. (Admin 15:45, 26 May 2007 (EDT))
    • The way I understand it, Origins will not be another "season" at all, but a different show that will complement regular Heroes. Kind of like a spinoff. I would treat the shows the way we treat the graphic novels: each episode should probably get its own article, and any new characters should probably get their own page. I'm not sure how much crossover there will be, but any characters from Heroes that appear on Origins should probably have the history included on their page, but with an "Origins" namespace, similar to the way we use the GN namespace in character histories. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:12, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
      • That was the other option I was considering: setting up an Origins namespace to keep them separate. If people prefer that idea then I'll set up the namespace. (Admin 16:23, 26 May 2007 (EDT))
        • I'll second the "Origins" namespace option.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:32, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
          • I'll third it. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 10:18, 6 June 2007 (EDT)
            • That sounds right. It's probably best to do it before the episodes start. Otherwise, we could always do a pseudonamespace like we do with the graphic novels. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:50, 6 June 2007 (EDT)

Thank you for posting the interview with Jeph Loeb. I don't think he ever says that Origins will start after Season Two. In fact, it's pretty clearly stated that it will be midseason. I take that to mean during the hiatus. I'll change the note. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:22, 15 June 2007 (EDT)

This should probably get its own top-level category like the graphic novels or Heroes 360. It looks odd under Seasons.--Hardvice (talk) 05:01, 6 October 2007 (EDT)

  • Agree. I think the origins stuff will pretty much be treated on par with the graphic novels. I suppose we'll also have a "Heroes: Origins Characters" category. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 05:04, 6 October 2007 (EDT)

  • I know it hasn't yet been cancelled but the thought of it kills me. And if that happens then HEroes will have an even longer hiatus than last year. That could be bad. Jason Garrick 17:02, 1 November 2007 (EDT)
    • I'm not loving the thought. But it seems like the Heroes creators had been saying for a while in the episode commentaries that Origins wasn't going to be a mid-season hiatus replacement, but rather a summer series. Perhaps there's still hope for it ... again, assuming the strike doesn't happen or doesn't drag on too long.--Hardvice (talk) 17:18, 1 November 2007 (EDT)
      • I found another source that seems to indicate the declining ratings this season has something to do with the Origins cancellation - SyFy Portal. They also hint that it may debut next season instead. --Simply Agrestic 10:47, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
