Pics?

Why is the pic stub on the article? Where are we gonna get pics?

  • The only image I can think of that might be appropriate for this article would be the picture he drew that Bennet gave to Matt. Joser Kyind 14:06, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
  • For unseen characters who aren't likely to be seen, you can get rid of the pict stub by manually adding blankperson.jpg as the image, instead of letting the infobox add it (which automatically adds the noimage tag).--Hardvice (talk) 14:27, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

Move

Should this be moved to Matthew Parkman? -Lөvөl 14:20, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

  • I don't know, he probably doesn't have his fater's name since his mother doesn't care about her ex-husband anymore. Anyway, one of the 2 pages need a redirect to the other. We have to choose which one. -- FrenchFlo (talk)        14:24, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
    • She did name him Matthew, so she did still care a little, but we don't know if they were still together, or if they were divorced, or if she had changed her last name, at the time Matthew was born. -Lөvөl 14:59, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
      • While there's no way of telling exactly what Janice's and Matt's relationship is like from the episode, except that they're no longer together, I do feel that we can't assume that either Janice or her son go by the last name "Parkman". I especially think this because of the implications that they're some of the people Bennet has been hiding. Joser Kyind 16:27, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
        • To me, it souned like Janice and little Matt were simply hiding. So personally, I would move this article to Matthew Parkman. Heroe!(talk) (contribs) Random Page! 21:14, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
          • The kid is a "child of interest" and is in hiding. I'd bet a million to one his last name has been changed to protect him. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:22, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
            • Safest bet would be to have the article on "Matthew" since we don't know his last name. That's all we know about the character is his first name, and that his parents are Matt and Janice. It's a crazy future, who knows what's going on.--Bob 00:33, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

Power

Did anyone write down or screen cap the list of possible powers Matthew has from Heroes Interactive? Alexwill 23:03, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Father

Would it make more sense if Tom McHenry was the father? --DocM 13:27, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

  • It's a tough call. It assumes that the baby Janice was carrying grows up to be Matthew. It also assumes that everybody is telling the truth in the present timeline. I would feel more comfortable with taking the "Father" section out altogether and adding a note with episodic references. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:40, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Don't Understand

But didn't Matt and Daphne have a baby girl? So what happened to Matthew? Linderman Mendez 13:20, 20 November 2008

  • This isn't Matt and Daphne's baby--that would be Daniella Parkman. This is about Janice's child. We never find out who the father is. My guess is it's Tom McHenry based on later episodes...but since this is a future that no longer exists, we don't even know if the child exists. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:41, 20 November 2008 (EST)

Matt's nightmare

  • when Maury had Matt in an illusion, Janice showed up holding a baby. can we assume this is Matthew? --Max G. (T) 22:58, 8 January 2009 (EST)
    • It probably is, but I don't know if that's definite or not. Plus, at this point, we're dealing with some weird stuff: Matthew is a future character, and the baby in the nightmare is an imagined character. The baby wasn't born at the time of the nightmare, and most likely wasn't named Matthew. It's probably best to not assume that the unborn child Matt dreams of is the same child who is a person of interest in Five Years Gone. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:10, 9 January 2009 (EST)

Matt Parkman, Jr. (explosion future)?

Since we know it's the same character now, shouldn't he be moved to the usual future character nomenclature? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 18:47, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

  • We should go with what he was called in this future. - Josh (talk/contribs) 19:11, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
    • He was called Matthew. I don't mind updating the name of the character now. However, I'm not sure why this discussion about Matthew and Matt Parkman, Jr. is on the talk page for Matt Parkman. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:19, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
      • Oh, never mind. I see his name was updated. I'll move the page since it's confirmed now. That's really all we've ever been waiting on was confirmation that they're the same person. We now have that with this week's BTE. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:22, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
        • The nickname Matt wasn't used in that future, similar to Sylar in the exposed future. - Josh (talk/contribs) 19:27, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

Latest power debate

Ok, so I originally removed the fact he had Activation and Deactivation, Wargrowlmon then pointed out that in the BTE (see page notes) the writers confirmed that it was the same baby and had the same power. The question is, do we take this as confirmation of his ability? --mc_hammark 09:03, 22 February 2010 (EST)

  • Yes. BTE counts as confirmation of Matt Jr.'s ability. --Ricard Desi 10:03, 22 February 2010 (EST)
    • I think I may have also contributed to the reverts. I forgot about the BTE confirmation. I'll fix it now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:14, 22 February 2010 (EST)
