Portal:Webisodes Cast

Creating a new portal for the webisode cast? Pierre 10:24, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

  • I'm not sure how many different characters there will be, so I'm open to ideas about how to handle the webisode cast. -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 12:49, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
  • Hmmm I think there will be a fair few. Are we going to call some of them main webisode cast or just keep them all as webisode cast?--Skywalkerrbf 13:28, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
    • Keep them in one portal for now. If we get a ton of characters (which is unlikely), then we can talk about a split. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:58, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
      • I think it should be Webisodes Cast (since there's going to be more than one), same as Evolutions and Episodes. I'm making the changes.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:34, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
        • Hey!! Wait a sec! Evolutions is in plural because the title is in plural. And "episodes" isn't used in any cast or crew portal/category. The only parallel we got is the Graphic Novel categories and portal, which uses singular. Please change back, or change the GN use as well. Pierre 22:49, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
Category:Webisodes Characters|Category:Webisodes Characters]], Portal:Graphic Novels Characters, Category:Graphic Novels Characters and so on) and no one object, I guess its OK... I just think you should have put it up for discussion before starting to change it. :/ Pierre 06:19, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
                • Simple grammar changes don't normally require a discussion to change, especially when the portal is just recently made. I did post above that I was correcting it and's Webisodes portal is the same way (Webisodes cast, characters and crew). The character and crew portals for the graphic novels could be changed, but that's a separate issue, and a bit more difficult to change. When NBC changed from Heroes 360 to Heroes Evolutions, we switched the cat and portals to match how they describe it. "Webisodes" is kind of a coined term like "Evolutions", so my opinion is that we should follow how NBC uses it, but I'm willing to follow the consensus's decision.--MiamiVolts (talk) 07:28, 18 July 2008 (EDT)
                  • I have to agree with Miami, I think "Webisodes" is more suitable. -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 07:55, 18 July 2008 (EDT)

Brea Grant

Recently there has been an edit war (defined by somebody making a change more than three times without discussion) over the photos used to represent different portals. Rather than continuing the war, this needs to be discussed. Brea Grant's photo has been used for a long time here without any issue. Personally, I like her picture representing the season three recurring characters because 1) she's only appeared in the third season, and 2) she was one of the most recurring non-principal characters. Jessalyn Gilsig's image is the image in question. Though a nice picture, Jessalyn did not appear in this season as much as Brea, and Jessalyn also appeared in previous seasons. I would prefer to stick with Brea's picture. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:23, 3 October 2009 (EDT)

  • Agreed, there's nothing wrong with using Brea's image, it fits the style we've used so far, no point in changing it. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:30, 3 October 2009 (EDT)
    • I just don't find it fair that Brea Grant appears in the main portal for cast (you click her picture to see all of the cast/characters from season 3) and in the portal for only season three. Santiago Cabrera and Dana Davis do not appear in both, they represent the season as a whole (you click their pictures to see all of seasons one and two, but not in the season portals themselves). I don't see why Brea Grant should be on both portals. Don't get me wrong, I love her and her character, and believe she should represent the whole season, but its always bugged me that she is the only character on both portals. Jessalyn Gilsig had a much bigger role in season three than in season one and since she is now dead and won't appear again, isn't this a nice little way to remember her? Like Alejandro represents season two? Plus the "she appeared in previous seasons" arguement is not a valid one; if we want to go by that, lets replace Hiro's picture in the season two portal with one of a new character, like Maya or Elle. I really don't see the big deal here. --Skullman1392 14:34, 3 October 2009 (EDT)
      • RGS, how come you haven't responded? You have the time to make other edits and reply to other talk pages. You've done this before: undo an edit I've made, and then when I discuss it like you want, you don't respond. --Skullman1392 18:48, 3 October 2009 (EDT)
        • You've answered your own question: he's had the time to make other edits and reply to other talk pages, but not this one. Just be patient. Plus, he's not the only who has an opinion, so don't act as if this discussion is just going on between you two. My opinion is that Skullman has a valid point, but we should see if anyone else minds that Brea's picture is for both portals. Personally, I don't care for either Brea's image or anyone else's image. --Radicell 20:39, 3 October 2009 (EDT)
        • How should I respond? I've shared my opinion, and it's obviously different than yours. Radicell is right, this is an open discussion where people should feel free to share their opinions, just as Radicell and Intuitive Empath and you have done. Please do not goad me. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:45, 3 October 2009 (EDT)
          • Its been over seventy-two hours, and no one else has commented. I'm going to change it to Meredith. --Skullman1392 23:45, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
            • hey, thanks for following your own little rules and changing it to Danko without ANY previous discussion here of that. --Skullman1392 00:06, 7 October 2009 (EDT)
              • Rules? The only rule I've stated here is a policy against edit warring. I don't believe I've done that. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:19, 7 October 2009 (EDT)
                • Skullman, just knock it off. seriously, you sound like a two year old having a tantrum. to tell you the truth, i was the same as you with the edit warring and now i'm making sure people like you don't do this. just stop or you will most likely be blocked! Aren't I Great?
                  • Dude, that was days ago, settle down. I haven't edited it since october 6th, then I quit, so you're just reopening old wounds for no reason and accusing me of things I haven't done. Clearly this is over, there was no need for you to say things you just did. --Skullman1392 19:55, 11 October 2009 (EDT)
                    • well, sorry, and please don't call me dude. i didn't know that and i apologize but you don't need to talk to me like that, okay? i'm just making sure that you don't do what i did because i don't want anyone to go through what i did. don't make the same mistake that i did. good luck! Aren't I Great?
