Derick see a picture that his grandmother had painted of a girl shooting her teacher.
Derick stops Jenny from killing her teacher, he then shows James how his dad died.
Derick tells James that he can't go and save his mother and tells him that Miss Galore would be dead if it wasn't for him.
Derick has the ability to heal things. He has been shown healing wounds and memories.
