Theodore discovered his [[plant manipulation|ability]] while watching a group of loggers cut down trees, and when some almost fell on him, he instinctively brought up a wall of vines to protect himself. He allowed [[the Company]] to [[bag and tag]] him, and then continued to live a normal life until [[Building 26]] came about. He decided to fight back, and closed himself off from his family and friends. As a part of [[Unity]], he tried to live a normal life while helping others. |

Lived a pretty normal life until the moment he manifested, then all the trouble began. Theodore first found out he could manipulate plant life when he was walking in a forest near his hometown. When he saw people logging a patch of wood he stood by watching intrigued but slightly thinking it was unfair to just 'put some trees down'. At some point things went awry and some trees fell together almost crushing Theodore, who was unable to move out of the way in time and thus through an adrenaline burst he made vines and roots grow in such a way he was protected by a wall of plants. After willingly being tagged and researched by the company he'd move on with his normal life, attending school and interacting with family. But after building 26 took over he had to run and fight like hell. Which is a facet of his life he doesn't like to share with others, slightly closing him off from his family and friends. Nowadays he tries to live his life as normal as possible. |

Theodore van den Burg is part of the Unity faction that aids Claire and Rachel in their attempt to find Wildman.
About
Theodore discovered his ability while watching a group of loggers cut down trees, and when some almost fell on him, he instinctively brought up a wall of vines to protect himself. Faction Zero
In chapter 4 of Faction Zero, Theodore is brought by Kelli Wheaton to Costa Verde to help hunt down Thompson Jr. He arrives with a forkful of food in his mouth, surprised at finding himself in America.
Evolved Human Abilities
Theodore has the ability to control plants, make plants grow, and use photosynthesis. He also has resistance against poisons and disease and can create any botanical poison. Additionally, Theodore has an extended botanical knowledge, heals at an accelerated rate, although not quite as powerfully as somebody who has the ability of rapid cellular regeneration. This ability is similar to Brendan Lewis's plant manipulation.
