To yak or not to yak!

So can and did Trav talk to the yaks? In the animation, he says that the yaks didn't have much to say. I'm not sure if we can take that as evidence of communicating with animals. Opinions?--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:30, 6 November 2007 (EST)

    • There was an email from Hana to Evolutions participants with this link (since no explicit sign-up was required this time, apart from signing up for Evolutions emails, I think a direct link is OK). It takes you to the GN, which is sadly only animated/interactive (boo). I've been able to extract half of the pages from the flash file, but the resolution sucks (not much better than screenshots of the pages), and the other pages seem to be assembled from individual images which aren't all sized to match. Animation info

There's more info. in the graphic novel's animation, this time, than is viewable in large comic-style view (ie. the city names in India and Bhutan), and a couple cool views of the moon, one with the symbol on it. Cool visual and audio effects too. Nice touches on the lightning strike and the fireplace flames.--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:24, 6 November 2007 (EST)

Order

  • But it's not clear, 57 to me means 'Week # 57', and this novel was clearly released in 'Week # 58'. The Rogue is ordered correctly cause it was released after the novel it was published with.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:41, 6 November 2007 (EST)

I'm Confused

• How can the man Trav found not be Drucker, from what I saw, "Goose" looks different than the mysterious man depicted in this novel, further more there is no evidence in the "Golden Goose" that directly correlates that "Goose" was the man Trav found. And even the man admits to being Drucker, how can NBC make such an erroneous claim that "Goose" was the man Trav found when there isn't even any evidence, "Goose" could've easily lied to Bob.--Dman dustin 02:20, 30 January 2008 (EST)
  • It is very confusing, but just because there's no evidence doesn't mean that NBC is making erroneous claims. The man Traveler meets in The Last Shangri-La and the man that Bob turns gold in The Golden Goose actually are very similar in looks--I mean, they both have long hair, right? And actually, nobody ever admits to being Drucker in the novel--Traveler just assumes the man he meets is Drucker, just like we assume the same thing.

True, Goose could have lied to Bob, but we have evidence (from NBC) that shows that Drucker really did die in the plane crash. Plus, consider that if Drucker were really alive, he could not have turned his consciousness into a purusha and communicated with Hana in the Company's mainframe; both he and Hana are dead, or at least their bodies are. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:16, 30 January 2008 (EST)
