Eden McCain is a former neighbor of Chandra Suresh, whom she called "Papa Suresh" due to her inability to properly pronounce his name. When Chandra's son Mohinder comes to New York to look into his father's death, the two of them become friends. Eden helped Mohinder with his research while he stayed in his father's old apartment.
When Mohinder decided to go back to India to scatter his father's ashes and return to his old life, Eden kissed him in an effort to convince him to return.
Shortly after Mohinder left, Eden called Mister Bennet to update him on what she had learned about Peter and Isaac. When she asked what to do about the "precog" (Isaac), Mr. Bennet told her to "bring him in" and Eden later shows up at Isaac's studio. This seems to confirm the fan rumor that Eden is working for Mr. Bennet.

- Fan theories speculate that Eden is a plant for either Mr. Bennet or Sylar. Such theories have gained a great deal of momentum since the two-minute preview aired after the Heroes marathon on October 22nd showed a clip with Eden standing next to Mr. Bennet.
