The Genesis files are a series of research files compiled by Chandra Suresh on the emergence of unusual genetic powers in certain individuals. The files where discovered by Chandra's son Mohinder in his father's apartment in Madras, India. When Mohinder overheard a man talking in the next room, he gathered up the files and took them with him to New York.
