Does the future Peter have the scar because originally in the future Sylar killed clair and was the one who exploded and thus Peter didn't meet Clare and cant heal so thus has the scar?

But when Hiro changed the past, then it turned out that Nathan exploded instead of Sylar, but then Peter would have encountered Clare so future Peter should have healed his scar...unles he doesn't want to because that would give away that ability of his. Maybe he got the scar in a public forum and doesn't want to heal it...Still it really seems that future Peter shouldn't have the scar after Future Hiro's visit to the past.--[[User:ASEO|ASEO]] 16:15, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

Category:Events

Can anybody else think of a better place to put this? It's not in the portals, so I'd like to give it an infobox and add it to a portal, but "events" seems wrong. That said, I can't think of a better place for it. Items seems equally wrong.--Hardvice (talk) 04:42, 4 February 2007 (EST)

  • We could make Portal:Symbols and Category:Symbols into a "Miscellaneous". That would work out nicely since the mark is also a scar, not a symbol.--Hardvice (talk) 04:44, 4 February 2007 (EST)
    • I don't think it would hurt in items, maybe as a subcat or see also. But changing Symbols to Miscellaneous would work also I guess. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:22, 4 February 2007 (EST)
      • We need to do something with Symbols. The mark doesn't really belong there, since it's not so much a symbol as a wound. Still Portal:Wounds is probably a tad too restrictive. If there were a way to do a category for appearance items, we could do Jessica's Tattoo and Peter's emo hair, too. Oh, and Mr. Bennet's glasses.--Hardvice (talk) 15:28, 4 February 2007 (EST)
      • Howabout this:
        1. Restore Plot Points as a catch-all for things that don't fit well anywhere else (The Mark, The Symbol, Peter's scar, and Jessica's tattoo if we really want it to be an article). We can call it something else if we want to, like Objects or something.
        2. Make Items, Weapons, Publications, Research, Artwork, Media, and Money subcats of Plot Points.
        3. Add an items article for Mr. Bennet's glasses. I was totally kidding, but now that I think about it, it'd be kind of cool.
That actually saves us two spots on Portal:Portals.--Hardvice (talk) 17:50, 4 February 2007 (EST)
Oh, wow, back to Plot Points. Okay, yeah, actually, I guess that would work. I don't think there's an easy solution because there's no catchall. I wish I could think of something to describe personal marks & appearances, but I can't. And if "Miscellaneous" doesn't work, then I guess Plot Points would be the best option.

I totally thought you were serious about Mr. Bennet's glasses - I've been mulling that one around for quite some time. Now Peter's hair, on the other hand ... — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:03, 4 February 2007 (EST)

Homecoming and Fallout

Does anyone else think this information is irrelevant and contradictory? Since it's healed... it can't possibly be the scar. --Riddler 01:06, 27 February 2007 (EST)

  • He could have an existing scar that isn't visible. In theory, scars are healed skin, so he would have scars before getting Claire's ability, so maybe we don't see the scar Hiro refers to.--Baldbobbo 01:09, 27 February 2007 (EST)
    • Not what I was getting at. The two bits of information, in this category, imply that the wounds he gets from his fall in Homecoming are the scar that Hiro talks about, which is impossible since they healed by Fallout. --Riddler 01:12, 27 February 2007 (EST)
      • Understood. I'll take them off since, as you pointed out, they don't add to the discussion of a scar since no scar was developed.--Baldbobbo 01:14, 27 February 2007 (EST)
        • I think the picture should remain though. Only facial damage Peter has sustained on the show so far.--Baldbobbo 01:15, 27 February 2007 (EST)

Speculation

It's really speculation still to say that the cut Sylar gives Peter is the formation of the scar to which Future Hiro refers. I don't mind leaving the Parasite history here, but I just want to point out that this is not necessarily the same scar. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:46, 8 March 2007 (EST)

  • Particularly when it's no different from the Homecoming speculation that already bit us on the ass once, amirite?--Hardvice (talk) 13:50, 8 March 2007 (EST)
    • Well, I'm glad E! (always with the hard-hitting, in-depth coverage) has broken the story that the cut is not the scar. Grrreeaaattt.. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:45, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

Gallery

Why this page doesn't have any gallery ? We could use the unused files (this one for exemple) and add some more with Hiro on future time line etc... --FrenchFlo(talk)(contribs) 14:52, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

  • Mostly because we're speculating where Peter got his scar. Really, this article is about the scar Future Hiro mentions to Peter on the New York subway (Hiros). We're assuming (and speculating) Sylar's slicing and dicing is how Peter gets his scar. The pic that's in the unused files is just a cut that took a little longer to heal than some of the other cuts that Peter sustained at Homecoming. I'm already a bit hesitant to put the Parasite reference here, for fear of speculating. We certainly shouldn't add the Homecoming pic, since that has nothing to do with the scar F_Hiro mentions. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:10, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

What Would Happen If...

Sylar melted off half of Peter's face. Would he still be able regenerate it back?

  • Claire regenerated from "a walking skeleton" (Graphic Novel:Family Man), so I'd imagine he would, so long as his brain is in tact.--Bob 22:36, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

.07% preview

Didn't the end-of-the-show episode preview for 0.07% show Peter's scar? Can someone get a screen capture? --AverageMan 19:15, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

  • It did, and I'm sure there'll be a much better one next week. But remember, we shouldn't put any spoiler pics on this page (and yes, even preview pics are considered spoilers). — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:42, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
    • I'm not sure what the explanation will be in the episode, but since Claire was not saved in Future Hiro's original past, Peter presumably never obtained her power. That would explain how he got a scar. --Ted C 20:13, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

Once it's explained...

...how he got the scar, what's the point of the article then? I feel this article exists only because the scar is some mythical creature that we have only speculated on, but once it's revealed (and possibly explained that it cannot exist since Peter has Claire's ability), then it's something that won't happen.--Bob 11:28, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

  • It exists because it's been referred to but not explained. Once it's explained, it will still have been referred to but not explained for close to twenty episodes. It's the gun on the mantle in Act I, so to speak. I mean, Linderman's money is out of the picture, too, but we still have an article for it, right? This article will allow us to note when the scar was mentioned, and when and how it was paid off.--Hardvice (talk) 13:06, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

Why does he have a scar at all?

Does the future Peter have the scar because originally in the future Sylar killed clair and was the one who exploded and thus Peter didn't meet Clare and cant heal so thus has the scar? But when Hiro changed the past, then it turned out that Nathan exploded instead of Sylar, but then Peter would have encountered Clare so future Peter should have healed his scar...unles he doesn't want to because that would give away that ability of his. Maybe he got the scar in a public forum and doesn't want to heal it...Still it really seems that future Peter shouldn't have the scar after Future Hiro's visit to the past.--ASEO 16:15, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
