******* Season One is all either original content (for the early episodes) or the Summary section for the episodes (for the later episodes). I for one don't think we should be using NBC's summary anywhere but the "next" box and on the pages for unaired episodes. Once an episode is aired, we should be relying on original content, not copy-and-pastes from a press release--especially when the quality of the press release as a recap varies a lot, and they do things we wouldn't do in an article.--[[User:Hardvice|Hardvice]] [[User talk:Hardvice|(talk)]] 13:27, 19 November 2007 (EST) |

******** I completely agree. I mean, I'm not severely opposed to using the press releases, I just think we can do so much better. They are purposely written to tease and give hints, but not to summarize the episode. Sometimes the writing is subpar, and sometimes it has been plain old wrong. They're fine to announce what's coming up, but not so much as a summary of the episode. And, there's no reason we can't write original content. -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 14:12, 19 November 2007 (EST) |

I know it's not an issue now, but once we add episodes of Volume Three, it will be slightly difficult to navigate to the episode summaries from the top of the page, as done with volume one and two. So, should we either resolve this, or move to splitting by volume?--{{User:Baldbobbo/sig}} 07:32, 4 December 2007 (EST) |

Revision as of 12:32, 4 December 2007
Is Heroes going to be cancelled? Jason Garrick 12:25, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
- Not canceled but season 2 might end with the 11th episode if the producers/writers don't settle the dispute this weekend.--Citizen 12:34, 3 November 2007
Volume 3 will be called "Exodus". Source: http://www.comicsonline.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=474 --Mang0es 01:47, 13 November 2007 (EST)
- Is this a spoiler?-- Lost Soul talk contribs 16:06, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Exodus? Doesn't that usually mean "The Finale"?--Riddler 16:14, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- "Exodus" means "departure" or "flight" (in the sense of a retreat, not what Nathan and West do).--Hardvice (talk) 16:16, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- If it's in the Departure sense, does that mean they expect Season 3 to be the last? I only ask 'cause we just finished Oedipus in British Lit, and the exodus was the last chapter of each book.--Riddler 16:18, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Assuming that, like Genesis, it's a reference to the book of the same name in the Bible, then probably not. Exodus focuses on the flight of the Israelites from Egypt. It's about a new beginning, not an ending. Incidentally, Exodus is the second book, immediately following Genesis.--Hardvice (talk) 16:32, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Could be in reference to the possible Exodus of the older Heroes and their ways. Since Genesis seems to focus on the birth of the new generation of Heroes and their adventures. Generations covers the gap.--Mish(Talk) 16:26, 18 November 2007 (EST)

- Titles and names generally aren't spoilers per se. However, since there's no real confirmation on this, it's better suited to a note. Personally, I'd rather not see a Notes section on this page, so it might be best to just leave it off for now.--Hardvice (talk) 16:16, 18 November 2007 (EST)

Press releases?
- I was wondering: should the article summaries on this page be the NBC official press releases? Because, normally, what we do is take the bullet-pointed summary from the article page and paste it in, but I think the press releases may be better. Thoughts?-- Lost Soul talk contribs 16:03, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Actually if you look at the next on, on the NBC website, you can see that its the same text from the next on, on the main page which is what's put on here. So we've actually been doing what you've suggested all season. -- Seclusion talk / contribs 06:44, 19 November 2007 (EST)
- I know that the Main Page has the press releases, but this page does not. What we've been doing (at least, to my knowledge) is taking all of the bullet-pointed notes from the main article page (for example, Project Reborn), and pasting them in here. Am I being clear here, or talking crap? Cos if I'm not explaining myself well, let me know, and I'll try again.-- Lost Soul talk contribs 07:37, 19 November 2007 (EST)
- But I don't think that's whats been happening. I've added the last three episodes to here and I've taken them from the main page. Perhaps people before me were doing different, but thats what I've been doing. -- Seclusion talk / contribs 07:48, 19 November 2007 (EST)
- My mistake. You have done that for the last two episodes. But 1-6 are not the press releases. So the point is, should they be changed? You know what, I might just go ahead and do it.... Oh, and I wasn't accusing you, btw. :)-- Lost Soul talk contribs 07:49, 19 November 2007 (EST)
- You are correct LS, we have been using something other than NBC's description in the past. I know for the first or second episode of this season, I just pulled something out of my ass, but if you'd like, you can take our original content from the summaries and put it here. That would be better imho.--Bob (talk) 08:01, 19 November 2007 (EST)
- We already have the summary for some of them. I was just curious as to whether the official press releases would be better... Do we include the press releases for season 1 on the Season One page?-- Lost Soul talk contribs 08:22, 19 November 2007 (EST)
