Is Heroes going to be cancelled? Jason Garrick 12:25, 3 November 2007 (EDT)

  • Not canceled but season 2 might end with the 11th episode if the producers/writers don't settle the dispute this weekend.--Citizen 12:34, 3 November 2007

Volume 3 will be called "Exodus". Source: --Mang0es 01:47, 13 November 2007 (EST)

  • Is this a spoiler?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:06, 18 November 2007 (EST)
    • Exodus? Doesn't that usually mean "The Finale"?--Riddler 16:14, 18 November 2007 (EST)
      • "Exodus" means "departure" or "flight" (in the sense of a retreat, not what Nathan and West do).--Hardvice (talk) 16:16, 18 November 2007 (EST)
        • If it's in the Departure sense, does that mean they expect Season 3 to be the last? I only ask 'cause we just finished Oedipus in British Lit, and the exodus was the last chapter of each book.--Riddler 16:18, 18 November 2007 (EST)
          • Assuming that, like Genesis, it's a reference to the book of the same name in the Bible, then probably not. Exodus focuses on the flight of the Israelites from Egypt. It's about a new beginning, not an ending. Incidentally, Exodus is the second book, immediately following Genesis.--Hardvice (talk) 16:32, 18 November 2007 (EST)
        • Could be in reference to the possible Exodus of the older Heroes and their ways. Since Genesis seems to focus on the birth of the new generation of Heroes and their adventures. Generations covers the gap.--Mish(Talk) 16:26, 18 November 2007 (EST)
          • That seems like a fair interpretation.--Hardvice (talk) 16:32, 18 November 2007 (EST)
    • Titles and names generally aren't spoilers per se. However, since there's no real confirmation on this, it's better suited to a note. Personally, I'd rather not see a Notes section on this page, so it might be best to just leave it off for now.--Hardvice (talk) 16:16, 18 November 2007 (EST)

Press releases?

  • I was wondering: should the article summaries on this page be the NBC official press releases? Because, normally, what we do is take the bullet-pointed summary from the article page and paste it in, but I think the press releases may be better. Thoughts?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:03, 18 November 2007 (EST)
    • Actually if you look at the next on, on the NBC website, you can see that its the same text from the next on, on the main page which is what's put on here. So we've actually been doing what you've suggested all season. --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 06:44, 19 November 2007 (EST)
      • I know that the Main Page has the press releases, but this page does not. What we've been doing (at least, to my knowledge) is taking all of the bullet-pointed notes from the main article page (for example, Project Reborn), and pasting them in here. Am I being clear here, or talking crap? Cos if I'm not explaining myself well, let me know, and I'll try again.--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  07:37, 19 November 2007 (EST)
        • But I don't think that's whats been happening. I've added the last three episodes to here and I've taken them from the main page. Perhaps people before me were doing different, but thats what I've been doing. --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 07:48, 19 November 2007 (EST)
          • My mistake. You have done that for the last two episodes. But 1-6 are not the press releases. So the point is, should they be changed? You know what, I might just go ahead and do it.... Oh, and I wasn't accusing you, btw. :)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  07:49, 19 November 2007 (EST)
          • You are correct LS, we have been using something other than NBC's description in the past. I know for the first or second episode of this season, I just pulled something out of my ass, but if you'd like, you can take our original content from the summaries and put it here. That would be better imho.--Bob (talk) 08:01, 19 November 2007 (EST)
            • We already have the summary for some of them. I was just curious as to whether the official press releases would be better... Do we include the press releases for season 1 on the Season One page?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:22, 19 November 2007 (EST)
              • Season One is all either original content (for the early episodes) or the Summary section for the episodes (for the later episodes). I for one don't think we should be using NBC's summary anywhere but the "next" box and on the pages for unaired episodes. Once an episode is aired, we should be relying on original content, not copy-and-pastes from a press release--especially when the quality of the press release as a recap varies a lot, and they do things we wouldn't do in an article.--Hardvice (talk) 13:27, 19 November 2007 (EST)
                • I completely agree. I mean, I'm not severely opposed to using the press releases, I just think we can do so much better. They are purposely written to tease and give hints, but not to summarize the episode. Sometimes the writing is subpar, and sometimes it has been plain old wrong. They're fine to announce what's coming up, but not so much as a summary of the episode. And, there's no reason we can't write original content. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:12, 19 November 2007 (EST)

Split into volumes

I know it's not an issue now, but once we add episodes of Volume Three, it will be slightly difficult to navigate to the episode summaries from the top of the page, as done with volume one and two. So, should we either resolve this, or move to splitting by volume?--Bob (talk) 07:32, 4 December 2007 (EST)

  • If we keep going by seasons, simply force a TOC at the top and we're good on this and subsequent seasons. I could go either way on this.--SacValleyDweller (talk) 18:24, 6 December 2007 (EST)
    • I just added anchor links at the top. I think it will be okay with just these added anchor links.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:51, 6 December 2007 (EST)

Unreleased episodes?

With the end of the strike appearing far away and with the NBC intro to Powerless referring to it as the "finale," I would assume that Season 2 is finished. Depending on the length of the strike, I hope that we won't have to wait until next fall to see new Heroes episodes, but it may be the case that Volume 3 does not begin until Season 3. Does anyone know if there were any more episodes filmed for Season 2? I would assume if so, they wouldn't be (officially ;) released until the entire Volume 3 is finished filming, correct? --Simply Agrestic 16:19, 4 December 2007 (EST)

  • There are 3 other episodes that have been filmed (12-14). There was a 6 week break intended even before the strike started, and as you suggest, Tim Kring has said he doesn't want any breaks in volumes and that if the strike ends shortly then we will only suffer a slight extended hiatus. (10~ weeks) --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 20:10, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Did anyone else think that Ando was kinda lacking this year. They said he's a season regular, but he's not in a lot of episodes, and the ones he is in, he says like two or three lines. I like Ando as a character, but why would they put him the saeson [main] cast and not even use him that much?--Patrick 16:55, 6 December 2007 (EST)

  • Ando appeared in 9 episodes this season, which is exactly as many as Hiro, and almost twice as many as Elle. In fact, after Claire and Noah, Ando is tied for the most amount of appearances this season, and holds the fourth highest amount of appearances for both seasons. However, you're right, he was sorely underused this season. I was aching for more of the precious few scenes he shared with Hiro. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:54, 6 December 2007 (EST)

Time Elapsed?

How much time passed in the Heroes world in volume 2? --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 09:41, 10 December 2007 (EST)

  • Less than 20 days. (Or almost 337 years, depending on how you look at it). The first episode took place sometime in March 2007--I haven't figured out exactly what day, and I'm not sure we're able to, though I would love it if somebody could do that for us. The last episode took place on March 20, 2007. All in all, less than 20 days. Of course, that's if you're not including events from 1671 or June 14, 2008 and beyond. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:32, 10 December 2007 (EST)

On the commentary for Powerless we learned what plotlines were rapped up in Generations that should have been in Exodus. Given that we now have details on Exodus, should there be a section under Season 2 describing it? -- The Ninth Doctor 10:25, 18 December 2007 {EST}

  • If it weren't for the fact that volume 3 is called "Villains". --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 22:25, 18 December 2007 (EST)
    • It might make a good note, as it has been explained ("spoiler" interview) that "Exodus" was intended to be Volume three, but was dropped, due to the strike. -- Lulu .:talk:. 22:28, 18 December 2007 (EST)

Article needs to be updated

  • I think this article will need to be updated to reflect the WGA strike, but I haven't been keeping up with the official news. Has season two (not volume 2 which we know has ended) officially ended at this point or is there still potential for volume 3 to begin this season should the strike end soon? (Admin 21:05, 2 January 2008 (EST))
    • Last I heard, there was still potential for a volume 3, but it would be considerably shortened--likely 6 episodes at most instead of the standard 11. Also, I think that number was based on filming continuing by the beginning of February, but the chances of that happening aren't good.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:09, 2 January 2008 (EST)
      • Ok, I tweaked it a little bit. If we have any authoritative references to go along with it then that'd be great, though I know much is still up in the air. (Admin 21:15, 2 January 2008 (EST))

Heroes; the most pirated show of 07.

  • According to here; Heroes was the most pirated show of 07. Thoughts? --  Seclusion  talk / contribs 02:40, 5 January 2008 (EST)
    • In Finland, episode Run! is aired today. Clearly people can't wait to see the episodes. --Logunn 14:06, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Time to Update make season 3 page?

An article at Variety, plus a few other sources indicate that Season 2 is done. I think we need to update this page ASAP and make a Season 3 page at some point. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 23:47, 15 February 2008 (EST)

  • I don't see any pressing need since Season 3 hasn't started yet. It doesn't need to be done ASAP, but there's no reason it can't be done. Go for it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:51, 15 February 2008 (EST)
  • Since season two is finished we should spawn any seaon three information off into a Season Three article quickly since people will now be searching for "Heroes season 3/three" The sooner we have pages for season three/3 the better we'll be in the search engine rankings. (Admin 00:50, 16 February 2008 (EST))

Unaired episodes being aired?

  • Hello, does anyone know if the unaired season 2 episodes ever going to be released? I liked the story that Tim Kring had in his mind, there were 3 episodes filmed. Will we ever see those episodes, maybe on dvd or on tv? -- Futurepeter ( U - T - C ) 12:25, 30 October 2008 (EDT)

Before I start, sorry if I shouldn't put this here! I have Heroes Seasons 1 & 2 together in one boxset, and in the special features for Season 2, there aren't any of the Untold Stories (Sylar's Killings and Angela's Dream). Does anyone else have this problem, or have I just got a faulty boxset (haha)?--Hiroman 16:04, 15 February 2010 (EST)

  • I think it depends on the company that sells them. I know that the one that I've got doesn't include them, so I've had to watch them online, check the packaging, it might tell you on that, or if there's a leaflet inside, it may tell you as well. --mc_hammark 17:29, 15 February 2010 (EST)
    • I've never seen Seasons One and Two together in one box set. Mc_hammark is right, it sounds like the company that sold it decided somehow not to put all the special features on the disc. Unless the store is willing to take it back, you're screwed. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:34, 15 February 2010 (EST)
      • Doubt I'll be able to take it back- I got it last year and I've only just noticed the missing Special Features! haha. I'll see if I can watch them online-Thanks for the advice!--Hiroman 05:50, 16 February 2010 (EST)
