Characters have a preoccupation with saving the world - no matter what the circumstances.
Recurrences
Hiros
Future Hiro comes back in time and gives Peter a message - save the cheerleader, save the world.
Better Halves
Hiro and Ando call Isaac, only for Peter to answer the phone and deliver the two the message, warning them that they have to save the world.
Nothing to Hide
Simone tells Peter that Charles has died. Simone tells him about Charles's dream about flying around the world, and that Peter, in the dream, told Charles that there were people who would save the world. Simone asks Peter about the painting that he wants, and Peter says that it will help him save the world.
Homecoming
Claire and Peter try to escape from Sylar, running through Union Wells High School and reaching the bleachers. Claire runs away, and Peter and Sylar struggle and fall off the roof, crashing into the ground below. Peter dies, while Sylar manages to escape.
Claire finds Peter and he regenerates and returns to life. Peter asks where Sylar went, and then asks Claire if he is the cheerleader he had to save, and whether or not he has saved the world. Claire says that she does not know, for she is only a cheerleader.
Fallout
