Theory:Maya Herrera

  • Why did you remove all the theory I've put?, and by the way, its a "fan" page, so there is no need of any permissions and stuff. And also, its a rumoured spoiler anyways, so theres no "sure" about it, I've seen a lot of discussion pages that have unknown spoiler on them NiveKJ13 11:30, 12 November 2008 (EST)
    • Okay, I've just put 'Uknown Theory' on it, so it won't feel like a spoiler... :D tnx 4 replyin NiveKJ13 17:33, 12 November 2008 (EST)

Telepathy thoughts

Hey,

You said: "One person, one power, unless that power let's them copy/steal other's powers, also the show defines what it wants telepathy to be, and Bob said to Matt whatever the brain controls, he controls".

Who says that a person can only have one power? The show does not define what they want telepathy to be. And if Bob says Matt is controlling what the brain controls, then he would have what should be called mental manipulation, because telepathy is only communications, not control.

  • That's kind of what I'm saying. I believe their power is no longer just telepathy. It is something much more than that, and should not be called that. Since telepathy itself is defined as only communication through thoughts, saying they have telepathy is understating their powers. They have the ability to manipulate other's thoughts and mental processes. That's why I believe their powers should be called "mental manipulation". They can manipulate the thought processes (and memories in Arthur's case) of others. The Haitian shares the ability to manipulate memories by erasing them. And we don't know how he nullifies or suppresses other's powers, so I don't think that part of his power should be called mental manipulation. Maybe his power should be called "mental suppression" if we think he is altering their mental processes in order to stop others from using their abilities.

Cakes not a Lie?

Anyone know why my reference was taken out? Soz if I did it wrong. ----Drwho113

You beat me

You were faster than me at changing List of abilities back to the proper version :P--Aburu 20:54, 15 October 2008 (EDT)

Recent Changes

When your checking Special:Recentchanges, you don't necessarily need to refresh the page (F5). You can click the time and date above all the changes where it says "Show new changes starting from," and that will show you all the changes that have been made since the last time you checked the changes. I'm not sure if you were already doing that or not, but you said that you refresh recent changes a lot, and I just want to show you an easier way if you didn't already know about it. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:11, 15 October 2008 (EDT)

Thanks

Thanks for fixing up some of the recent ability pages...specifically for removing unconfirmed absorbers from the pages. Much appreciated! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:58, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Thanks for noticing! And props to the idea of keeping theories in order, I'll do that from now on, instead of cutting/pasting in the front! (And yeah, I'm kind of a Flint fan, and am hoping that he'll end up a hero!) Also, is there a limit to the number of theories that one can post? And what about the nature of theories - I noticed a bunch of ones about waffles, out of all things - I assume they are meant to be serious, but CAN peach pie and waffles really be considered sworn enemies?? PS - Are you an admin or something??? - Punx on 2008.11.21 @ 13:05

I don't really appreciate sarcasm, you know...If you've got something to say, tell it to me in my talk page, don't moan there in the corner --NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 20:38, 14 December 2008 (EST)

Wikia

  • Just a heads up. This is called a wiki whereas wikia refers to a specific brand of wiki hosted at wikia.com (and also to wikia.com itself). It's kind of like calling all tissues "Kleenex" (which some people also incorrectly do) when Kleenex is actually just a specific brand of tissue. :) (Admin 22:02, 16 December 2008 (EST))

Gabriel Gray

Hey intuitve empath i dont know why you indid my edit on gabriel gray from the future but if you realised he lost most of those powers due to the shanti virus ! . Gabriel Bishop 11:50, 17 December 2008 (EST) Gabriel Bishop

Clairsentience

  • who are you and WHAT did you change that I updated? March 2007 timeline page looks same?

"Clairsentience Please, do not change power names, such as you did in the timeline article, please check Help:Naming conventions#Ability Names for further information. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:55, 20 December 2008 (EST) " Not sure what you 'corrected', but if I did change anything, it was probably a clarification due to confusing wording. I did a couple minor edits like that, as it looked like whoever entered them was not entirely familiar with English.--Brainlock (talk) 16:51, 20 December 2008 (EST)

  • Clairsentience SHOULD BE Psychometry as it was the WRONG POWER listed!--Brainlock (talk) 17:06, 20 December 2008 (EST)
  • Bridget had the power of PSYCHOMETRY, not sure who "defined" clairsentience for this wiki, but only person who comes close to this ability is Molly, and she can only locate people, so she's merely clairvoyant. Psychometry is the ability to know the history of an object by touching it, which is what Angela explained Bridget's ability as, not to mention the previous 'correspondence' between Bridget and Mohinder.

Do some actual research into REAL WORLD ABILITIES *before* you "define" them!--Brainlock (talk) 17:12, 20 December 2008 (EST)

    • There's no reason to be rude. Intuitive Empath was merely doing his job as a member of the Wiki. Plus, as I'm sure you've been made aware of, "clairsentience" is a canon name, which means that the name comes from the show itself (see Talk:Clairsentience for the naming citation). It also has its roots in near-canon material. Additionally, clairsentience is defined as "a form of extra-sensory perception wherein a person acquires psychic knowledge primarily by means of feeling." This is exactly what Bridget did. Even if it wasn't canon, there's nothing wrong with the name. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 17:17, 20 December 2008 (EST)
      • Also, please sign your posts from now on by typing ~~~~ or by clicking the second button from the right at the top of your editing box. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 17:18, 20 December 2008 (EST)

Double spaces after punctuation

Admin stated to me that it does not matter whether we use one or two spaces, and has stated that he will continue to use two spaces himself. But since you keep deleting my changes, and since the standard appears to be drifting towards two spaces anymore instead of one, I agree to go with one space so we can keep the pages neat and orderly. I just can't stand disorganization. Look, I used single spaces! - RaptorWiki 16:41, 24 December 2008 (EST)
